The rapper's fans were quick to respond on X, commenting on Doja Cat's unique way of celebrating National Read A Book Day. One fan compared Doja to Cardi B, referring to the latter's career as a stripper and an alleged feud between the two female rappers, tweeting:

Several other fans expressed similar sentiments online.

Doja addressed comments that compared her curly hair to sheep's wool, carpet, and some derogatory things. Commenting on the same, she mentioned in her Instagram Live:

“I’m seeing a pattern. I’m seeing a consistent pattern in my comments section of people saying is my hair pubic hair, is it carpet, or is it sheep’s woo. And it’s not even questions… some people are being like, that’s what it is.”

She continued:

This is not the first time Doja Cat has been direct with her fans. On April 26, 2024, the Kiss Me More rapper took to X to ask fans not to bring their children to her concerts owing to the lyrics of her songs. She tweeted:

"idk what the f**k you think this is but i don't make music for children so leave your kids at home motherf****r"

The rapper also referred to not being a role model for children in her song FTG from Scarlet, wherein her lyrics asked her fans to go ahead and raise themselves and told them to come and get their "bada** kids."
