Comedian Pete Davidson made a cameo appearance in the music video for Eminem's latest single, Houdini. Slim Shady released Houdini and its music video on Friday, May 31, as the lead single of his upcoming album The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce). The single paid tribute to the rapper's 2002 smash hit Without Me.

Pete Davidson made an unexpected appearance towards the end of the music video, where the comedian parodied his own reckless driving experience. Back in March 2023, Davidson allegedly drove his Mercedes at high speeds and crashed into the side of a Beverly Hills home. Luckily, nobody got hurt in the accident, but Pete was later charged with misdemeanor reckless driving.

"Trust me I'm a great driver"— Pete Davidson joked on Eminem's new music video

The latest Eminem track, Houdini, featured cameo appearances from several high-profile stars, including Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, Shane Gillis, and more. One notable cameo towards the end of the video was that of The King of Staten Island star Pete Davidson.

Slim Shady's video paid tribute to the music video of his 2002 track Without Me by incorporating the slim shady character into many wacky scenarios. Towards the end of the video, Eminem, sitting in the passenger seat of his Lamborghini, is welcomed by Pete Davidson, who takes over the car. The comedian leans in and says:

"Trust me I'm a great driver. Don't worry, I just got my license back."

Davidson and Eminem vibe in the car to the song's outro as Davidson crashes the Lamborgini into a bunch of other cars. Pete Davidson's cameo in the music video seemed to be a parodical reference to the comedian's own reckless driving of a sportscar in 2023.

Pete Davidson had to complete an 8-month diversion plan for his March 2023 car crash

On March 4, 2023, Pete Davidson allegedly drove his Mercedes Benz at high speed before losing control of the car. Davidson jumped a curb and hit a fire hydrant before smashing into the side of a Beverly Hills home. His then-girlfriend and actress Chase Sui Wonders was also present in the passenger seat of the vehicle. Thankfully, no one was injured in the crash.

NBC reported at the time that there were no drugs or alcohol involved in the incident. The publication further stated that Davidson respectfully waited for the authorities to arrive and cooperated with them.

Later in July, Pete Davidson was hit with completing an 8-month diversion plan instead of being prosecuted for the incident. This included 50 hours of community service and 12 hours of traffic school. According to Cosmopolitan, the Los Angeles County DA said at the time:

"We believe that Mr. Davidson engaged in reckless driving, which ultimately resulted in his involvement in a serious collision into a home. Luckily, no one was seriously injured as a result of this collision."

However, this was not the last time Davidson was involved in a crash. In late September 2023, Pete Davidson allegedly swiped his car against a wall while leaving a stand-up comedy show at The Wiltern in Los Angeles. According to photographs obtained by Page Six, Davidson was driving a black GMC SUV with one person in the passenger seat and three behind.

The comedian was seen blocking camera flashes with his hand while holding a cigarette behind the wheel of the vehicle. The publication noted that excited onlookers began calling out Davidson's name and filming when they realized he was inside the car.

Eminem's Houdini is available for streaming on all music streaming platforms. Its music video, which has already crossed 3.5 million views at the time of writing this article, is available to watch on YouTube.
