Peter Frampton started his career early in life with several bands while he was in school, with the last one being the Herd, for which he was the lead guitarist and singer at the age of 16. Subsequently, he became a member of Humble Pie at the age of 18.
In 1972, he parted from Humble Pie and established a solo career, with his first breakthrough coming five years later with the album I'm in You, released through A&M Records on June 3, 1977.
