Robbie Robertson will be getting a posthumous tribute concert this fall, called Life Is a Carnival: A Musical Celebration of Robbie Robertson. The legendary guitarist was the co-founder and songwriter of The Band. He was suffering from an undisclosed illness for long and passed away on August 9, 2023, at the age of 80.

Sir Robertson's tribute concert will be held on October 17 at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles. Blackbird Presents is the producer of the tribute event, while Live Nation will be the official promoter.

The tickets for the tribute concert are available through an artist presale that began on July 31 at 10 a.m. PDT. It can be unlocked with the code 'ROBBIE' and interested individuals can book the tickets by visiting Ticketmaster.com. Live Nation will begin the promoter presale for the concert at 10 a.m. PDT on Thursday, August 1.

The concert's ticketing partner, Ticketmaster, will begin a 24-hour presale at 10 a.m. on August 1, followed by a venue presale on the Kia Forum website - kiaforum.com. The tickets for the tribute event will be available to the general public through Ticketmaster starting at 10 a.m. PDT on Friday, August 2. The ticket prices start at over $122.35, excluding taxes.

The Kia Forum tribute concert, Life Is a Carnival: A Musical Celebration of Robbie Robertson, honors the legendary artist's legacy. Sir Robertson was a prolific artist and wrote over 39 songs.

His works inspired and influenced many bands and solo artists, some of whom will be appearing at the Kia Forum to honor the legend. The concert roster will include 1900s veterans like Trey Anastasio, Elvis Costello, Daniel Lanois, Lucinda Williams, and Bruce Hornsby, among others.

Remembering The Band guitarist and songwriter at the concert will also be American rock icons like Bobby Weir and Taj Mahal, who shared the stage with the legend in the 1960s. Eric Clapton, Mavis Staples, and Van Morrison appeared alongside Sir Robertson in the Scorsese-directed movie, The Last Waltz, and will also perform at the event.

The modern artists who grew up listening to Sir Robbie Robertson will also be attending the tribute concert to honor him. Jim James, Noah Kahan, Margo Price, and Eric Church are some of the artists who have been confirmed to be attending the concert.

Sir Robbie Robertson played an instrumental role in reshaping the contemporary rock genre in the 1900s. The rock legend was awarded a lifetime achievement honor at the Grammys in 2008. He was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1994.
