My deepest regret for any inconvenience caused. Thankfully we'll now be returning in 2025 and I hope to see you all there."
The new residency shows comes as the singer concludes the 13-year residency titled The Hits at the same venue. The singer had described the residency show as a rock show in an exclusive interview with Billboard Magazine on May 10, 2011, stating:
"It's a rock 'n' roll show. We'll try to give the people what they want, which are the songs that made me famous, plus a few surprises. There won't be any magicians or midgets, just a good rock show."
Rod Stewart's residency has been successful, with over $57 million from the twenty 26 legs of the show. The residency has been attended by over 400,000 people throughout the years.
Aside from his residency, Rod Stewart worked with Jools Holland on a new album. Swing Fever was released on February 23, 2024. The album peaked as a chart topper on the Billboard 200 album chart and at number 4 on the German album chart.
The album was Rod Stewart's first new record release since The Tears of Hercules and consisted of covers of classic songs from the big band era of Western music, accompanied by the Rhythm and Blues Orchestra of Jools Holland.
