Rymir Satterthwaite, who claims to be Jay-Z's son, slams rapper for allegedly making his mother pregnant when she was 16

According to a report by Daily Mail dated December 10, 2024, 31-year-old Rymir Satterthwaite, who claims to be rapper Jay-Z's son, recently commented on the lawsuit against Hov filed by someone named "Jane Doe".

In the lawsuit, Doe accused the rapper of r*ping her when she was 13 years old as reported by BBC on December 9, 2024. Responding to the accusations in the lawsuit, Jay-Z posted a statement via the Roc Nation Instagram account on December 8, 2024, denying the claims and dubbing the lawsuit an extortion ploy.

Rymir talked to the Daily Mail on December 10, 2024, and commented on Hov's response to the s*xual assault lawsuit, stating that it is frustrating and heartbreaking to see the rapper respond to the allegations "with such deflection and attacks".

He also slammed the Renegade rapper for allegedly impregnating his mother at the age of 16 and mentioned:

"My late mother, Wanda, was just 16 years old when she became pregnant with me, and for years I have sought clarity about my identity. This is not about greed or spectacle—it’s about uncovering the truth and ensuring all parties are held accountable."

According to a report by Page Six dated May 2023, Rymir Sattherthwaite has claimed for over a decade that Jay-Z is his father, a legal battle that was started by Rymir's late mother Wanda.

Wanda filed a civil lawsuit in New Jersey seeking child support from Hov in 2011 and fought for the rapper to take a paternity test till she died of heart failure in 2019.

Rymir took a dig at Jay-Z's public statement which was a response to the lawsuit filed against him. Commenting on Hov's lack of effort toward his claims, Rymir said:

"Despite my efforts, Mr. Carter has never once written a letter to me to address these claims – whether to deny or acknowledge paternity, or to address why his attorney’s committed this fraud."

He continued:

"If Mr. Carter values the ideals of honor and protecting children, as he claims in his letter, he should step forward with transparency. He continues to deflect and avoid."

In her allegations against Jay-Z, Rymir's mother claimed that she had s*x with Hov in 1992 when he was 22 and she was 16. At the time Rymir's mother Wanda was in an on-and-off romance with her high school sweetheart Robert Graves as per Page Six's 2023 report.

The rapper has denied Wanda's claims and has never taken a paternity test. Additionally, according to a report by Page Six dated May 2023, the Run This Town rapper mentioned in a letter to Daily Mail that the courts had thoroughly reviewed Wanda's claims against Hov, and the allegations have been refuted.

In 2011, Rymir's godmother Lillie was given his custody by Wanda and since 2012 the two have been fighting a legal battle with Jay-Z's team on Wanda's behalf.

According to a tweet by @Glock_Topickz on December 11, 2024, Rymir shared a message from his godmother, commenting on Hov's statement to the recent s*xual assault lawsuit wherein he called out attorney Tony Buzbee.

Lillie's statement read:

"Rymir and I remain unwavering in our fight, inspired by the belief that there are ethical attorneys and judges, like Attorney Buzbee, who stand for victims' rights and uphold the principles of fairness."

Rymir's godmother also alleged that her goddaughter Wanda was one of Hov's victims and that her name shouldn't be forgotten.


According to a report by BBC dated December 9, 2024, the recent lawsuit against Jay-Z was originally filed in October 2024 and mentioned Diddy, however, it was refiled on December 8, 2024, to add Hov's name as a defendant.

It was filed by lawyer Tony Buzbee under New York's Victims of Gender-Motivated Violence Protection Act.
