Azealia Banks switched her endorsement from Donald Trump to Kamala Harris a day before the 2024 election, sparking a flurry of online reactions. On November 4, Banks posted multiple tweets announcing her change in allegiance, attributing it to Donald Trump being "hell bent on Elon [Musk] and RFK."
Banks stated that she would be voting for Kamala Harris, stating that Elon Musk, whom she called an "overrated Ketamine addict," should have no place in American politics. Previously, in November 2023, Banks had voiced her support for Trump, telling The Standard she backed him because he was "f***ing funny."

On November 4, Azealia Banks took to X and released multiple tweets explaining why she chose to endorse Kamala Harris. In her first tweet, Banks called Kamala Harris "stupid and incoherent" and Tim Walz "trash" but conceded that keeping Elon Musk away from political power in the country was "tantamount to any issue on the table."
The singer called Musk a "dirtbag" and stated that he did not care about anyone but himself. She noted that Musk was already given way too much taxpayer money and that allowing him to gain a position of power was dangerous. Banks alleged:
"That man kidnaps his children, took photos of grimes getting sliced open during her c-section and sent them around, does a s**tton of grimy f**ked up s**t to tesla factory workers, stole PayPal, Weasled his way into tesla and has too many passports for my liking."
She also expressed her disdain for Donald Trump's support of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., whom she called "zombie a*s." Azealia Banks further disliked Donald Trump for meddling with China, stating that China was "NOT to be f**ked with," as America and the rest of the world would allegedly starve without it.
Banks added that the notion of the DNC flying in a bunch of illegal immigrants simply for votes was "stupidity." She claimed that the DNC did not need to import people to win an election, asserting they would simply steal it "like they did in 2020." She further alleged that illegal immigrants would be the first battalion sent out to battle, as she believed they were on the precipice of "two major wars."
She called Trump "DELUSIONAL" for thinking that he could deport millions of people who were not afraid of law enforcement and noted that Vladimir Putin was "pissed." Banks concluded:
"In Conclusion, I will be Voting For Kamala Harris tomorrow because Elon Musk (a f**king overrated Ketamine addict) belongs no where near American Politics. The End."
In yet another tweet, Azealia Banks asked Kamala Harris to "chill on the drinking" and pay attention. She wanted Harris to stop her "stupid pandering to black people" and answer questions thoughtfully. She did not want Harris to get caught slipping and hoped the Vice President would make them proud.
Banks requested that Kamala Harris revise her "weak" economic plan for black men and direct it toward black women, as she believed they were the "social cultural, and economic backbone of Black American society." She asked Harris to stop with the "Cliché abortion s**t" and incentivize men who did not want to be fathers to get vasectomies.
For the race in 2028, Banks also suggested that Harris recruit some "*real* black female intellects" to campaign with her, throwing shade at Megan Thee Stallion and Cardi B. When one user replied to Banks' tweet, saying that she found her spine a little too late, Azealia Banks responded that she was holding out until the last minute in the hope that Donald Trump would drop Elon Musk.
Azealia Banks described Elon Musk and RFK as "bologna and hog cheese." She slammed Musk's stance on China and expressed suspicion about JD Vance not being on the campaign trail beside Trump. The singer alleged:
