On September 16, 2024, Diddy was arrested on federal charges including racketeering and s*x trafficking. While multiple celebrities have commented on the same, a recent addition to the testimonies is from singer and journalist Good Fridae.
In an interview with The Sun, dated September 26, 2024, Good Fridae mentioned that she was one of the people who attended a "freak off" party the rapper threw in Toronto in the late 1990s. Good Fridae stated she was 16 and attended the party to make connections in the industry but had a bitter experience.
The singer recalled that she wanted to leave the party fearing she would be taken advantage of but was stopped by the security. Shortly after, she saw Diddy coming from the "freak-off" room assuming the security told him and she ran to press the elevator button. The singer told the publication:
"He was kind of running towards me. This look on his face really terrified me, it's hard to explain but I'm sure many others can explain that look of … like I was in trouble for leaving. It was just horrible, I was just praying that the elevator would come and I didn't have to talk to him."
According to North Jersey, multiple social media videos describe Diddy's "Freak Off" parties as s*x orgies that would go on for days comprising the use of heavy dosage of alcohol and huge quantities of lubricants and baby oil.
"He was doing to other people what was done to him"-Diddy's ex-bodyguard comments on "freak-off" parties
In one of the videos of Diddy's ex-bodyguard Gene Deal's interview on The Art of Dialogue podcast dated September 19, 2024, Gene opened up about what influenced the Last Night rapper's actions. Gene Deal was the rapper's bodyguard throughout the 1990s.
Commenting on Diddy's indictment, Gene Deal said that the rapper became a certain way owing to the people who taught him the music business. He said that the rapper wasn't born a monster but was made into one "from the stuff that happened to him". Elaborating on the claims surrounding the rapper's freak-off parties, Gene Deal said:
"“To keep it frank, he was doing to other people what was done to him... that's a learned behavior."
Additionally, Gene Deal stated that what was happening to the rapper was karma for what he had done to Black Rob and Craig Mack. As per Gene's claims, the Coming Home rapper sabotaged Rob and Mack's careers, and karma was bound to catch up with him.
Gene also said that what's happening to Diddy now is "one of the greatest tragedies" that everyone would be reading about.
Moreover, in another video from the podcast dated September 24, 2024, Gene Deal commented on Diddy being placed under suicide watch in Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center.
Gene indirectly implied that the rapper might have tried to take his own life in 1991 "during the City College days" referring to the stampede at City College wherein the rapper was a headliner. Gene said that if he could attempt to take his life outside during the time, one can only imagine what the rapper would do in jail.
In other news, after his arrest at a Manhattan hotel, the rapper's indictment was unsealed revealing he is charged with transportation to engage in prostitution in addition to s*x trafficking and racketeering.
Diddy was remanded to the Metropolitan Detention Center on September 17, 2024, and has pleaded not guilty. Moreover, the rapper has been denied bail twice this week.
