Slim Thug recently appeared in a viral video where he made a few claims about his earnings, grabbing a lot of public attention. The Art of Dialogue obtained a clip of the rapper speaking to the camera and posted the same through their official page on X on July 21, 2024.
The 43-year-old is well-known for his albums such as Already Platinum and his songs have managed to remain on top of the charts. Thug's net worth currently stands at $2 million, as per CelebrityNetWorth.
Slim Thug recalled his musical career in the video, saying that he met Michael '5000' Watts during his teenage years and the latter taught him that he can do a lot with something that he is always passionate about. He continued by saying that there was no one else who earned a lot from mixtapes.
"I've learned self-value from day one. No n*gga underground made more money on mixtapes than me independently… Not them n*ggas [DJ] Drama and them either. They was giving they sh*t away. Our wholesale price was eight [dollars]. No n*gga was getting more money than us who did it that long."
He was trending in the headlines last month after he claimed in an Instagram video that anyone willing to earn $1 million would never be satisfied since it is not enough to keep them happy. He said that the situation would be worse if someone is broke and addressed the same by saying:
"If you broke, you got a million dollars worth of sh*t you need to buy right now. You need a house, car, most of y'all muthaf*ckas gonna spend money at the mall. You gon' celebrate you got a million dollars. By the time you do all that sh*t, you gon' be broke again."
