On October 24, rapper and songwriter GloRilla took to her Instagram and shared a couple of mirror selfies flaunting her baby bump. She was seen wearing a white bodysuit and furry slippers, alongside a fancy bejeweled wristwatch, a silver neckpiece, and matching hoop earrings. The post had no caption.

Until this point, there had been no announcement from GloRilla that she was pregnant, nor had any major news outlet confirmed the same.

Meanwhile, actor Corey Champagne offered a clarification in the comment section of The Shade Room’s IG repost of the rapper’s images.

“This is for a new film we’re both in called ‘Angel’s Promise,” she’s a great actress,” Champagne wrote.

Thus, it appears that GloRilla was teasing her look from an upcoming project where she might play the role of a pregnant woman by wearing an artificial silicone-made pregnant belly. Regardless, her fans took to social media, where her baby bump images have now gone viral, and shared their reactions.

For instance, X user Rashad Your Chubby Friend (@OptimusGrind__) posted a 10-second video clip where a man seemed to be lying on the floor upset about something, while several used tissues were scattered around him. He captioned it:

“GloRilla just posted pictures of her pregnant on IG, somebody tell me this for Halloween.”

Several others joined the conversation on the platform and shared similar reactions, claiming that GloRilla’s latest baby bump pictures were for this year’s Halloween.

“A bit early to April fools or is this a Halloween look?” one fan asked.
“She trollin for Halloween szn,” a fan wrote.
“Relax y’all, it’s her Halloween costume,” wrote another.

More people continued to speculate that Big Glo wasn’t really expecting and it was a “funny” move on her part.

“Now why did she purchase that. She is funny asl for this,” a netizen wrote.
“*Cough* PUBLICITY STUNT,” one netizen wrote.
“Not me believing it for a second,” wrote another.

Meanwhile, others believed that the Tomorrow rapper was pregnant and sent their best wishes.

“Omg Yaaas, congrats to GloRilla on her new addition!” a person wrote.
“What a beautiful moment! She’s absolutely glowing, and it’s amazing to see her stepping into this new chapter of life. Wishing her all the love and joy as she embraces motherhood,” an individual wrote.

GloRilla sat down with podcaster and radio/ talk show host Charlamagne Tha God for an episode of the YouTube series Out of Context shared by the latter on October 14. At the 8:15 mark of the 44-minute interview, Big Glo got candid about her wish to become a mother one day but had no plans of carrying the baby herself.

“I do want to have kids, but not my own kids. Like, I wanna do the surrogate. I want somebody else to have my baby. I want them to have my DNA, but I don’t want to have it,” the 25-year-old noted.

She further continued:

“I just don’t want to actually have a baby. All of my friends got kids and they’re restricted a lot when they’re pregnant. [Nine months] is too long. I’m like, nah, I odn’t want to go through that.”

The topic came up when Charlamagne Tha God asked her whether the lyrics on her Latto collaboration PROCEDURE were true. In the latest track, Big Latto and Big Glo rap in chorus, “B*tch, I’m big mama, but ain’t none these n*ggas worth my womb/ This n*gga tryna get me pregnant, I need to tie my tubes (On God).”

GloRilla explained to Charlamagne that the lyrics were indeed true and men were trying to “trap” her and get her pregnant, but she didn’t want to carry herself.

For those unaware, Big Glo unveiled her debut studio album Glorious on October 11 and PROCEDURE is its third single. The album also has features from Sexyy Red, Megan Thee Stallion, T-Pain, BossMan Dlow, Muni Long, Kirk Franklin, Fridayy, Kierra Sheard, Chandler Moore, and Maverick City Music, among others.
