On November 27, 2024, Joe Budden discussed Drake's legal action against Spotify and Universal Music Group accusing the rapper of lying. In his statement, Budden said:
"He's a selfish, lying, manipulative, sack of shit who has made enemies for fifteen years, and now, we're here at the f*cking boiling point. You've been behind the scenes being the biggest sack of s*it you can possibly be."
While Drizzy hasn't responded to Joe Budden's allegations, X page @HOT97 posted a screenshot of the One Dance rapper's father Dennis Graham responding to Budden via the Instagram comment section. In the screenshot, Drake's father mentioned:
"Stand down now!!!!!!!!!"

"The blind days are done": Joe Budden comments on Drake in his podcast
In addition to calling Drake selfish and a liar in episode 779 of his podcast, Joe Budden commented on Drizzy being privileged, stating he isn't here to play games with the rapper. He said that the Passionfruit rapper is white and Jewish and that "he had too much dip on his chip."
Additionally, he alleged that behind the scenes Drake was hitting on the mother of someone's child and sending money to her. He also claimed that the rapper was sending messages to someone's wife and talking about indecent things.
Joe Budden also said:
"Ayy, but this n***a's mom died, that's cool but where my beat at, n***a? I don't give a fuck that your mom died."
According to a report by Hot New HipHop dated November 27, 2024, Budden's remark about Drizzy asking a producer for a beat without taking into consideration the death of their mother was seemingly a reference to Metro Boomin. Boomin played a role in the feud between Kendrick Lamar and Drizzy as he produced Lamar's Like That.
Joe Budden also claimed that everyone ignores Drake's wrongdoings, stating:
"Dawg, this n****s been a sack of s**t behind the scenes and because he has fans and Lucien, everybody just turns a blind eye. The blind days are done."
Drake's legal action against UMG and Spotify over Kendrick Lamar's Not Like Us explored
According to a report dated November 26, 2024, Drizzy's company Frozen Moments LLC filed a petition in a New York court accusing Spotify and Universal Music Group of illegally boosting streams of Kendrick Lamar's Not Like Us.
The God's Plan rapper's lawyers alleged that UMG launched a campaign to saturate and manipulate the streaming services and airwaves. Additionally, the rapper's lawyers also claimed that UMG's illegal scheme comprised payola, bots, and other methods to promote Lamar's diss track on Drizzy.
In another petition, Drake's lawyers accused UMG of knowing that Kendrick Lamar's track consisted of allegations of Drizzy being a "predator" and "certified pedophile". The rapper's lawyers said that despite knowing about the allegations, the music company didn't take any steps to stop the release of Lamar's diss track.
According to a report by AP News dated November 27, 2024, in a statement responding to claims by Drizzy's lawyers, UMG said that it wouldn't do anything to undermine its artists. The music company also called the allegations untrue and offensive.
