Adding to the controversies surrounding her friendships, Ice Spice recently posted a selfie with SZA on her Instagram story. The selfie was from the 2024 BMI Awards and showcased the growing friendship between the two female rappers.
The recent selfie of the two female rappers at the 2024 BMI Awards garnered a lot of traction given Ice Spice's former friend Cleotrapa recently made a series of TikTok videos accusing the rapper of using her and alleging she didn't pay her for touring along amid other accusations.

Cleotrapa mentioned an incident alleging that the rapper and her team had food at a steakhouse wherein she wasn't invited along with two other people.

Ice Spice took to X Spaces on September 3, 2024, and addressed Cleotrapa's claims against her, wherein she also addressed Cleo's allegations about Ice Spice's team asking her to pay for her food and not inviting her to dine out with others. The rapper mentioned:
