The band consisting of Deryck Whibley, Dave Baksh, Jason “Cone” McCaslin, Tom Thacker, and Frank Zummo stated in their announcement that they were excited to head to Europe for another leg of the final tour. They said:

"We are really excited to announce shows in the UK and Europe later this year. This forms another leg of our last-ever shows and our fans overseas have been incredible to us over the years, so we can’t wait to put on on the best show of our lives and go out on a high.”

The band released their final studio album, Heaven :x: Hell, on March 29, 2024, via Rise label. The album has been received in a positive light by critics and fans alike, with the album peaking at number 3 on the Swiss and Austrian album charts respectively.

Meanwhile, Sum 41 confirmed their disbandment back in 2023 on an X(formerly Twitter) post, stating in the announcement:

"Being in Sum 41 since 1996 brought us some of the best moments of our lives. We are forever grateful to our fans both old and new, who have supported us in every way. It is hard to articulate the love and respect we have for all of you and we wanted you to hear it from us first.”

The announcement continued:

"Sum 41 will be disbanding. We will still be finishing all of our current tour dates this year, and we're looking forward to releasing our final album 'Heaven :x: Hell,' along with a final worldwide headlining tour to celebrate."

As part of their previously announced tour dates, Sum 41 is set to perform at the Rock Werchter Festival 2024 in early July, Ruhrpott Rodeo 2024, NOS Alive 2024, Mad Cool Festival as well as Riotfest 2024, and Louder Than Life 2024, among other festival performances.
