Taylor Swift announces first group of opening acts for her upcoming The Eras Tour shows in London: All you need to know

Taylor Swift has embarked on her International Eras tour, having just wrapped up her Portugal dates, and now she is set to embark on the Spain leg of the European part of the tour at the end of May. After Spain, she will perform across France and England, including three shows in London from June 21, 2024, to June 23, 2024.

The singer has now announced the first wave of supporting acts for her shows in London, shared by a post for the Eras tour UK & Ireland page on May 27, 2024:

Griff, Paramore, Benson Boone, and Mette will be the supporting acts. Speaking about her choices in the announcement and welcoming the acts in question, Taylor Swift stated:

"I chose artists whose music I love listening to and I can't wait for them to add an extra jolt of excitement to our shows at #wembleystadium in June. @mettenarrative, @wiffygrriffy and @bensonboone, welcome to the Eras tour."

Taylor Swift's Eras tour to continue till end of year

Taylor Swift is currently set to continue her Eras tour across Europe and elsewhere before ending it with a show at the BC Place in Vancouver in December. The remaining list of dates and venues are given below:

In other recent news, Taylor Swift's dominance in the Billboard charts continues with her newest album, The Tortured Poets Department, which was released on April 19, 2024.

The album is now in its fifth consecutive week of being a chart-topper on the Billboard 200 album chart, with current record sales recorded over 300,000 copies in the country alone, with more worldwide.

Taylor Swift also had fourteen spots on Billboard's Hot 100 chart, with the singles from the album and all 31 songs from the album secured positions within the 100 chart.

In addition to the domestic records, the album has also set multiple records worldwide, breaking the highest-sold album for a week record in Germany for the first time in seven years.

In the UK, the album is now the fastest-selling album by a non-British person in 18 years, and in Australia, the album netted Swift her 13th consecutive chart-topping record in the country.
