Originally released in 2010, Kanye West's track Monster featuring Nicki Minaj has been doing the rounds recently owing to Nicki's alleged original verse of the track circulating on social media. While the song's rhyme scheme appears to be similar in the clip, the opening lines have changed to:

"Go get them eggs and ham, they greener than doc Suess,"

The rest of the lyrics in Nicki's verse remain the same with references to Chucky and Barbie. Moreover, the internet was quick to react to Nicki Minaj's alleged original verse from Monster and expressed their opinions via X (formerly Twitter). One of the fans commented on the same and tweeted:

"thank god she’s changed it"
"this gotta be AI chile" a fan claimed it wasn't original
"this isn’t real but she still so i’ll bc imagine they only have here the drums like that and just started spittin the verse we know" an X user mentioned
"It’s wild what changing around some words can do" a fan complimented the alleged original verse
"so glad she went harder" another fan complimented

"I made that girl rewrite her verse 3 times": Kanye West comments on making Nicki Minaj change Monster verse

Kanye West's feud with Nicki Minaj dates back to 2018 when the duo collaborated on New Body with Ty Dolla $ign. Even though this was Kanye and Nicki's third collaboration, the track was not released as a single and did not make it to Ye's 2019 album Jesus is King.

However, the track was leaked online on July 11, 2018, featuring complete verses by Ty Dolla $ign and Nicki and an almost complete verse by Kanye West. While Kaye has asked for Nicki's permission to release New Body, she refused leading to Ye criticizing the Tusa rapper. As per Hot New HipHop, Kanye mentioned during a listening session:

"I made that girl rewrite her verse 3 times for 'Monster'. I supported her career. So I don't know what it is."

Moreover, in an interview with The Shade Room dated 2019, Nicki mentioned the reason behind saying no to the release of New Body and stated:

"What’s funny is that I did a song with Kanye, that he now wants to transform into a gospel song. I done wrote three different verses chile, and I don’t know. We ain’t seeing eye to eye on it. I don’t know, but of course, I love and respect Kanye, and Kim, we’ll see what happens with that.”

Currently, Nicki Minaj is on her fourth solo tour called the Pink Friday 2 World Tour promoting her fifth studio album Pink Friday 2. The tour comprises 79 shows across 3 continents and is the lengthiest tour of Nicki's career.

The tour began on March 2, 2024, and leg 2 of Nicki Minaj's Pink Friday 2 World Tour is set to begin in September 2024 from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, further covering parts of North America throughout October.
