The Lemonheads released their 1992 fifth studio album, It's a Shame About Ray, via Atlantic Records on June 2, 1992. The album was their commercial breakthrough, peaking at number 33 on the UK album chart and securing several gold certifications after release.
The band then released their sixth studio album, Come on Feel the Lemonheads, on October 12, 1993. The album peaked at number 56 on the Billboard 200 album chart and at number 5 on the UK album chart. It also secured several gold certifications.
While the band subsequently released several albums, the 1992 and 1993 albums remain their most successful releases till date. The albums were reissued in special editions for their 30th anniversary and the band is now continuing the celebration with the upcoming tour.
After the band's tour, The Lemonheads frontman Evan Dando is embarking on a UK and Europe solo tour later in the year, starting in October and ending in November.
