Internet users were quick to react to Kirk's video and took to X to express their opinions. Some of the netizens commented on the rapper's daughter becoming an opp which is hip-hop slang for enemy or opposition, given the rapper had Drake come to his Toronto concert in 2019 and surprise fans with his appearance.

During an interview with Hot 97 dated October 2024, DaBaby discussed fatherhood and the equation he shares with his daughters. The rapper is a father to four children including a stepson. In the interview, Kirk discussed how he doesn't force his ideas on his children and rather focuses on integrity, adding that he has conversations about integrity with his oldest daughter, Serenity, who he shares with MeMe.
Answering the host's question about what he like about "dad life", the rapper said:
"I don't like anything, I love everything about it. I accept it all with open arms and a smile on my face... wouldn't trade it for anything in the world."
Kirk also shared that he prefers hanging out with his family and that he cooks for his children. Giving some insight into the personality of his oldest daughter, the rapper said that Serenity takes full responsibility for being a big sister, daughter, grandchild, and niece. Talking about his second child Nova, who he shares with real-estate agent Latoia Danet, Kirk called her his "soft girl".
Next, he talked about his daughter Velour who he shares with singer Danielle Leigh Curiel. Kirk said that the relationship his daughters have with one another is a testament to the morals and principles he stands on, adding that despite growing up in different households, his children are closer than those who grow up in the same house.
On September 21, 2024, Kirk dropped How TF is This a Mixtape? featuring songs like Can’t Keep Keisha and Did It. Talking about the mixtape on Hot 97, the rapper said that the album comprises 14 tracks and no features, adding that it is the first time he put his heart into a body of work after four years since his last project.
