The The has announced a new album, Ensoulment, which is set to be released on September 6, 2024, via earMusic. The album will be the band's first new record since 2000's NakedSelf, as well as their seventh studio album overall. The album can be pre-ordered via the band's official website right now.

Alongside the album, The The announced the latest leg of their world tour in support of the upcoming album, which is scheduled to be held from October 11, 2024, to November 8, 2024, adding 18 new dates to the previously announced tour.

Presale for The The album tour starts on May 22, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. local time, which can be accessed by signing up for the band's official newsletter via The The's official website.

General tickets will be available on May 24, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster or the band's official website. Ticket prices have not been announced as of the writing of this article.

Tickets for the other tour legs are currently on sale and available in limited numbers. Said tickets are priced at an average of £43.20, depending upon seating, venue, and city choices.

Speaking about the album, The The lead, Matt Johnson, stated in a general press statement on May 17, 2024:

"It’s vital to be hopeful. And I hope people get out of the album what we put into it. It was created under very happy circumstances, with a great vibe amongst the band and all the people that worked on it. There was a lot of thought, a lot of work, a lot of love, a lot of laughter!"

Aside from their upcoming album and tour, The The is also scheduled to perform at the Heartland festival in Egeskov Castle in Denmark. The festival is set to feature performances by Keane and Kasabian, among others.
