“But ni**as get killed in Hip-Hop now. They be battling and then they end up dead. It’s a little more serious now.”

Additionally, Damon also talked about the latest Drake vs Kendrick Lamar beef wherein one of the podcast hosts stated that he heard Damon say Kendrick won and that this is the biggest rap war. According to HipHop DX, on May 14, 2024, the record executive spoke about the Drake-Kendrick Lamar feud on the American Nu Network and declared Kendrick as the winner of the rap battle.

Commenting on the same, Dame Dash mentioned on his network:

“As far as fighting goes, in this moment, Kendrick won. It’s almost by far now. Last week, it was neck and neck, but after the last exchange with the pedophile thing and the response and the [impact] of ‘Not Like Us,’ it seems like he’s disrupted Drake’s life.”

As the podcast proceeded, Damon shared his perspective on Jay-Z's song Big Pimpin, released in 2004. Jay-Z and Damon go way back to 1996 as they co-founded Roc-A-Fella Records with Kareem "Biggs" Burke. They also formed a film production company and clothing line. However, their friendship and partnership came to a tragic end in 2004 as Roc-A-Fella was sold to Def Jam and Jay-Z became its president.

Damon was left out of the process and has always been vocal about feeling betrayed by his friend. Since then, there have been public accusations and an exchange of insults between Damon and Jay-Z, as well as legal disputes over the records' trademarks. However, in an interview with VIBE dated October 2023, the record executive admitted to making amends with Jay-Z on the condition that they talk about the "people that didn't make the money, and try to help".

Talking to Moguls in the Making, Dame Dash spoke about the song Big Pimpin and revealed that “everything Jay said, he was pretending to be me.”

In other news, this is not the first time Damon has made a controversial comment on Jay-Z. In his appearance on the That’s F***ed Up Podcast in June 2023, Damon mentioned that Nas won the rap battle between him and Jay-Z as the latter's response to Nas' Ether was "terrible".

Billboard reached out to Jay-Z and his team for comments on Dame Dash's claim on Big Pimpin. However, there have been no developments on that front yet.
