DJ Envy and his wife Gia Casey recently opened up about Sean “Diddy” Combs’ ongoing legal troubles on their podcast The Casey Crew’s October 16 episode.

Gia began by saying how the new “charges” against the hip-hop mogul appeared to be genuine, but in the absence of proper “evidence,” she was unable to cast her “judgment.”

In response, DJ Envy said that Diddy was a “freaky” individual, adding:

“There’s nothing wrong with being a freaky person. And the fact that he has a thousand bottles of baby oil and lube just means he likes to dish and pop. There’s nothing wrong, nothing illegal about that.”

DJ Envy also said he found it unfair that people had already convinced Diddy before seeing all the evidence and allowing him to present his side. The former The Breakfast Club host also reiterated his previous claim that Combs should be out on bail.

Exploring more on DJ Envy’s latest remarks about the Diddy scandal

On their latest kids and family podcast The Casey Crew, couple Gia Casey and DJ Envy sat down to discuss the Diddy scandal. Casey said that all the mounting allegations against Sean Combs didn’t “look good” for him, however, she would wait until there was sufficient evidence to convict him.

Meanwhile, her DJ husband and radio host mentioned how there was no doubt that the Bad Boy Records founder was a “freaky person,” but that was neither “wrong” nor “illegal.”

DJ Envy explained how he found it was not right that Diddy was refused bond despite offering up his own house, his mother’s house, as well as his passports.

He went on to add how Combs has “three kids without a mom” as Kim Porter passed away in 2018, especially the 17-year-old twin daughters D’Lila and Jessie.

DJ Envy explained how until the trial was over in another two years, they wouldn’t be able to see their father unless he was out on bail and was allowed to “fight from the outside.”

The BLOK Entertainment owner further mentioned how the likes of Harvey Weinstein and Bill Cosby had their bonds despite having similar charges and accusations against them.

“In this society, it feels like you are guilty and then you have to prove yourself to be innocent. But it should be the other way, It should be innocent until proven guilty,” he added.

DJ Envy doubled down on how it was “sad” that Diddy who had such a “legacy” was being pulled down because of the allegations, and claimed that people should wait until all of the evidence came to light.

However, the Queens DJ clarified that if Combs was indeed guilty of all the charges against him, “he should go to jail for a very long time.”

Meanwhile, Gia Casey argued that Diddy’s bail denial was fair and it didn’t matter that he had teenage children at home without a mother, as he was an alleged criminal.

Diddy and DJ Envy previously crossed paths

In September 2023, Sean Combs appeared on The Breakfast Club where he took a dig at DJ Envy when asked whether his former girlfriend Yung Miami was “pregnant” as per the rumors.

“Caresha be throwing ya’ll for a spin. I’m telling you right now Caresha be having fun. It be like a video game to her,” Diddy replied.

He then directly asked DJ Envy, “Is your wife pregnant?” and continued, “I’ma tell you straight up. You’d be the craziest one asking about somebody’s girl or personal joint but can’t nobody even say nothing to you about nothing.”

It was seemingly a reference to DJ Envy’s the-then feud with R&B singer and actor Tyrese Gibson who he claimed sent “disrespectful” alleged texts to his wife Gia Casey.

Diddy even called DJ Envy a “playboy” and declared how he never talked about his relationships “with nobody like that.”

When the latter tried to defend himself and said it was okay for anybody to ask him about his relationship as long as there was no “disrespect,” Combs further clarified that he was just messing with him and didn’t “care” as it wasn’t his “business.”However, later during the show, the duo seemed to move on from the topic.

For those unaware, Sean Combs is currently charged with racketeering conspiracy, s*x trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, and transportation to engage in prostitution. His trial begins on May 5, 2025.
