Upcoming rapper Nettspend has dropped a new track titled F*CK SWAG, which will reportedly act as the lead single for his highly anticipated debut mixtape Bad A** F*cking Kid. Hailing from Virginia, Nett has garnered a massive fanbase contributing to almost a million monthly listeners on Spotify.

The song was independently distributed to all major streaming platforms on October 03, 2024. Nett collaborated with Cole Bennett's Lyrical Lemonade for an official music video for F*CK SWAG, which also features model Mazzy Joya.

The bass-fueled, warped, production on F*CK SWAG is credited to producer William Dale Minnix III, also known as "Ok". William is a skilled upcoming record producer with an impressive clientele list which includes Destroy Lonely, Glokk40Spaz, OsamaSon, and more.

With Nett's most recent release going viral across social media platforms, fans and critics have taken to X (formerly Twitter) to share their thoughts on the rapper's latest collaboration with Cole Bennett. One Individual seemingly targeted all the new "kids," in hip-hop, when referring to their music as "cooked".

Although many within the hip-hop community praised F*CK SWAG and Cole's equally matched high-energy, trippy, visuals, there were a few who were citing their disappointment with the new direction rap music is supposedly headed in.

"tuff im all ears" - A fan praised F*CK SWAG's visuals.
"I like nettspend but bro wtf is this" - A fan questioned.
"Idk what type of music this is but it’s already dead and garbage" - A critic stated.
"Get this Yeat ripoff outta here" - Another critic claimed.
"I honestly don’t get the hype of this kid but good on him for getting known out there" - Said an individual.
"Nett really knows how to make great music he is a talent idk why he dumbs down his music to this" - A devoted fan cited.
"He got the best visuals" - A fan stated.
"Bro I’m 22 and I feel like an old head bc blud this is a**" - A critic claims.

Critics were found targeting Cole Bennett and Lyrical Lemonade as well, with many highlighting their fond memory of the production's house early-day collaborations, especially with late rapper Juice WRLD.

"We went from Juice to this. Miss the old Lyrical Lemonade" - A critic stated.
"putting any body on lyrical Lemonade" - Said another.
"bro u don’t HAVE to take the money. u can say no" - A critic shades Cole Bennett and Lyrical Lemonade.

Breaking down Nettspend's new single 'F*CK SWAG'

From his music being used in a Donald Trump TikTok Campaign to FADER magazine placing the rapper in their “Gen-Z’s most promising class of hip-hop innovators" list, Nettspend has been slowly, but steadily gathering attention online.

Nettspend's F*CK SWAG marks the rapper's fourth single for the year, officially following up on his collaboration with OsamaSon. The collab single, withdrawals, was delivered to streaming platforms on June 26, 2024, via Atlantic Records and Motion Music.

On his new song, Nett's mumble-esque delivery style, matched with William Minnix's blaring electric production, draws the listener's attention away from the rapper's more windy lyricism that primarily speaks on themes of excess, s*x, and substance abuse.

Cole Bennett's bold creative direction, filled with energetic edits, fun CGI, and plenty of "studio rain," elevates the dynamic visual experience F*CK SWAG offer's to its audience.

The title for F*CK SWAG appears to be a shout-out to American lifestyle and street clothing brand Black Scale, also known as BLVCK SCVLE, who've been sported by popular rappers like A$AP Rocky. Nettspend has also reportedly been seen wearing the brand's "F**K SWAG" fashion line at several concerts and shows.

"She said I'm for the ho-s, I'm for the ho-s in here / I got bullets goin' whichever way I want 'em to go in, yeah / I don't even wanna swing right now, I just want you to go home, uh / She got too drunk, too crunk off the Lulu', she go so lit"

Nettspend opens on F*CK SWAG with the song's hook fueled by electric synths and thick bass progressions. The rapper primarily speaks on themes of excess, and violence, with bars that seemingly allude to his competitive nature.

"Uh, I went to Poland, do you still think that I'm jokin'? / Yeah, uh, ain't no Wock' in Poland, but we got some poles in / I'm not trollin', ain't far fetched to know this, b---h tryna flex a lil' kissin', yeah / Yeah, I'm tryna get my d--k wet, but it ain't worth all that reminiscin"

The second half of the hook finds Nettspend referencing his live performance at Clout Festival 2024, which was held in Warsaw, Poland, back in July. During his set, the rapper reportedly previewed an early version of F*CK SWAG to a live audience.

"Huh, plot twist, b---h, I'm gettin', pop two Percs, I act offendеd / I'm sippin' pink, it ain't Whitney, she wanna know what you do with me / Yеah, I'm f--kin' Whitney and I'm f--kin' Wendy / Don't try f--kin' with me 'cause you weren't f--kin' with me"

Nettspend then introduces listeners to his verse, continuing with the cadence established on F*CK SWAG's hook.

The verse primarily finds the rapper speaking on themes of substance abuse and s*x, with Nett making references to a vodka drink called "Pink Whitney". The last line appears to be a dig at people who didn't support him during his come-up.

"Uh, take me out my city, take me out my pity / Yeah, blastin' Björk, I'm in Newark on the way to the bitty / Yeah, I sold every ticket, b---h, bought more outta Lenox, s--t / Seen more s--t when I was a kid, we got more times to get rich"

Nettspend ends his verse by alluding to his recent commercial success and his sold-out shows, with a bar that also references Icelandic singer-songwriter Björk. The track then introduces listeners to the bridge and outro before F*CK SWAG ends.

Nettspend's attempt to appeal to the masses with auto-tuned vocal performances, electric synth-fueled productions, and a visualizer shot by Cole Bennett, all highlight the rapper's intention to be recognized beyond his underground status.

With Nett teasing new music and fans speculating on the highly anticipated release of his debut mixtape, Bad A** F*cking Kid, the rapper appears to be gearing up for a massive 2025 campaign.
