Juelz Santana has responded to fellow rapper Cam’ron’s claim that their mutual friend and associate Jim Jones tried to flee when they were apprehended by BMF in Miami.

Appearing on his It Is What It Is podcast on January 13, Cam’ron claimed that his former friend and business partner Jim Jones didn’t always live up to his hardcore image. The former cited an instance when Jones tried to escape BMF members and was seemingly chased down a beach in the Floridan capital.

"They chased you to the beach, n***a. You was in the sand. Wet from the water, from the ocean," Cam’ron claimed.

In the wake of this, Juelz Santana appeared on The Art of Dialogue podcast on January 27 and shared that he was also there when BMF pulled up on Cam and Jim in Miami, but the latter didn’t run as per his knowledge.

“They [BMF] rush, so we backing up, but they rush us so fast, like me, and Chubs [Chubbie Baby], and Black [Adam] really didn’t even really have time to do nothing. So, they was on us. If they wanted us, they would have got us. They kind of ran, they ran by me,” Juelz shared.

Santana mentioned how they were trying to figure out what the BMF wanted from them. However, about 50 of them rushed up but ignored him, Chubs, and Black, even though they could have apprehended them. Eventually, they ran past Cam but didn’t really “want” him. Instead, “they only wanted Jim’s people.”

More about Juelz Santana’s remarks on Jim Jones and Cam’ron

During the latest episode of The Art of Dialogue, Juelz Santana mentioned that he, Jim Jones, Cam’ron, and other members of their hip-hop collective, The Diplomats, were hanging out at a Miami club when they got into an altercation with a “certain fraction unit” of BMF regarding champagne pouring.

The next day, The Diplomats were at another club in Miami to perform at a show for Fat Joe. However, upon reaching the venue, they saw “all these BMF flags up in the air.”

When they realized the BMF might be looking for them about the altercation the previous night at another club, Juelz and his crew, comprising Chubbie Baby and Black Adam, quietly tried to return to their hotel.

Meanwhile, Jim Jones and his crew were already inside the hotel, and only a few of his guys were “lingering” outside to keep a watch. Cam’ron, as per Juelz, was between his own car and another one that was “parked off to the side.”

“So, the guys pull up. The BMF guys. They looking all around us… So, my man Chubs hit me… tapped me like yo backup… So, I get behind Chubs, and my man, Black Adam they like yo, get behind me and see what these n***as were trying to do,” Santana shared.

Juelz added that the BMFs completely ignored Cam’ron and went directly inside the hotel, seemingly looking for Jim Jones.

“I ain’t gonna say whatever happened, happened… But as far as Jim though, I can’t say Jim ran because I didn’t see Jim run to my knowledge. Just about the whole event, Jim was already in the hotel. That’s why they didn’t get nobody… I din’t even think Jim saw the whole commotion happening… Jim was gone already. It wasn’t like on, no running,” Santana noted.

Elsewhere, the Harlem native shared his views on the ongoing feud between Cam’ron and Jones.

“It's not something I condone. I'm not rooting for or sitting here and watching and happy that it's going on. I'm definitely not at all. Both of them is still my brothers at the end of the day so you know with that being said I definitely don't like what's going on,” Juelz shared.
“I never liked it. Nobody wins when the family feuds, no matter what we going through behind the scenes. As men, things happen, and social media is so powerful and so strong now that sometimes things spill over, and you have situations that you have now.”

Juelz Santana concluded by saying that Cam and Jim’s “history go[es] back before me” and that the duo was once “super close” and tightly knit.

In brief, exploring the ongoing feud between Jim Jones and Cam'ron

For the unversed, Cam and Jones’ beef began in 2024. On the December 10 episode of his YouTube show, Talk With Flee, Cam’ron told his guest 50 Cent that he was disappointed when he wasn’t invited to a 2007 show in New York City, despite Jim and Juelz making it to the list.

Cam shared that the move was “devious” on 50 Cent’s part and that he felt betrayed by the fact that his bandmates accepted the invitation. However, he added that the decision was “clever.”

In response, Jim Jones appeared on the January 6 episode of Justin Laboy’s Respectfully podcast and stated:

“Them n***as be on my d**k. Them n***as ain’t got nothing else to think about but Capo. I did a lot for them n***as in their life, ya heard? Both of them. Pause, though. Get off my d**k!” he said in part.

Addressing Cam’s comment about betrayal, Jones said he didn’t want to miss out on the chance to perform in front of thousands of people and thus accepted 50 Cent’s invitation.

“I seen the sh*t wasn’t going right, so I started doing what Jim Jones needed to do for Jim Jones ’cause the n***a that was supposed to be the don wasn’t taking care of the Capo. It started feeling like the Gotti movie, ya heard?” Jim wrapped up.

On Monday, January 13, 2025, Cam returned to his podcast It Is What It Is and mocked Jim Jones, saying the latter was his “fan.” He also alleged that Jim used him for “clout” and failed to live up to his promises.

"I never needed nowhere to stay. You act like n****s were on your couch. You were a fan. You begged us, you were a fan. A fan. We didn't grow up with you. I am from 140th and Lennox... You were fanned out and begged n***s to come to your house after you heard all these mixtapes. That's how you got in," Cam’ron said.

The rapper referred to Jim Jones as a "Guardian Angel in designer" who hailed from the Bronx but pretended to be from Harlem, seemingly for better exposure.

The Diplomats, also known as Dipset, were founded in 1997 by Cam’ron, Jim Jones, and Freaky Zekey. Two years later, Juelz Santana joined the group.
