Playboi Carti's fans allegedly caused a store carrying the Ramones boot shoe by Rick Owens to change its rules regarding who can try on the footwear. X user @Kurrco shared a picture of a note at the store, which indicated that only those above the age of 21 or with a parent present could try on the shoes.

According to HotNewHipHop, the shop reportedly set an age restriction after multiple Playboi Carti fans allegedly tried on the footwear without purchasing it. As per the images circulating online, the note read:

"You must be 21+ or have a parent present to try on Rick Owens Ramones."

The rapper is well-known for his love for the boots and often wears Rick Owens Ramones, which fans have seemingly been trying to get their hands on. Netizens reacted hilariously to the images of the alleged note from a store carrying the shoes. They took to the comments section of @Kurrco's post and joked about the same.

"playboi carti fans arent 21+???" a fan asked.
"this is hilarious," another user wrote.
"Typical carti fan energy. Glorified chucks," an X user added.
"His fanboys are broke" an individual commented.

Some fans wondered if such restrictions would stop people from trying the shoes on, while others debated whether such a rule was necessary.

"This not stopping s*it," a user claimed.
"I definitely understand why they did this. But come on that's kinda lame, at least make it 18 instead of 21," a user suggested.

The Rick Owens Ramones boots are available in multiple colors but the signature pair is black and white.

On June 5, Playboi Carti headlined the Splash! Festival held in Grafenhainichen, Germany. During his performance, the rapper assured his fans that his much-awaited new album would be released soon.

"As promised, the album is coming. I promise you, the album is coming. So, it's only right that I come here tonight and give you a world premiere," he said.

After this, Carti performed two of his unreleased songs, All Red and G-Wagon.

The rapper has been dropping hints about his impending new album for the last two years. In the 2022 Spring cover story with XXL, Playboi Carti spoke in detail about the project. He mentioned that he wished to "go to rehab" as he thinks he has Bipolar disorder. He hoped his upcoming album would bring peace and help others.

"I’ve been rapping about going to rehab. I want to go to rehab because I think I’m bipolar. I want everybody to feel free. I want this album to make everyone feel free. I hope this album brings peace to the world, honestly. I’m in love with what I’m doing," he told the publication.

In February last year, Carti's DJ also revealed that his album was done, as per XXL. At the beginning of 2024, the rapper dropped multiple singles that many believe are possibly part of his upcoming album, including H00DBYAIR, 2024, and Backrooms (ft. Travis Scott).

Playboi Carti's last studio album, Whole Lotta Red, was released in December 2020, and it debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart.
