Rapper, singer, and record producer Lil Yachty took to his Instagram Live on August 22 and called out rapper Karrahboo in an explosive rant, following the rumors circulating online that he pushed her out from his Concrete Boys collective, in which she was signed.
Lil Yachty alleged that Karrahboo “verbally abused” people, and asked her to not “make a scene” about him “kicking” her out, calling the speculations false. He further claimed that he helped Karrahboo rise to fame, by helping her with her lyrics and putting food on her table.
“I wrote every f*cking verse you've done. I dressed you. I dressed all five of y'all n*ggas bro. I dressed five n*ggas every time we stepped out the house. I put an outfit on everybody. I put eight carats of earrings on everybody ear. I put three chains on all y'all neck,” the Bad Cameo rapper stated.
Lil Yachty slammed his fellow Atlanta rapper claiming she owed him $900,000, adding he kept all the “receipts” just in case. He accused her of being “clinically imbalanced” and “acting like a princess” since the beginning of their collaboration.
In the wake of his social media rant, netizens are having varied reactions. For instance, X user @georgioARmoney commented on Kurrco’s repost of Lil Yachty’s IG Live by writing:
“This crashout will go down in history.”
Many others joined the conversation and shared similar reactions.
“Yachty standing on business,” a person wrote.
“He didn't hold back,” one person wrote.
“Well, that escalated quickly,” another person wrote.
"Lil Yachty slander >>" a user wrote.
Meanwhile, others pointed out that since Lil Yachty took time out to go Live despite being inactive on social media, there was probably a chance that he wasn’t lying.
“Yachty don’t usually get this active. I believe him” a netizen wrote.
"I ain’t never seen Yatchy argue or get upset at nobody like this before. He def not lying about this," another netizen wrote.
Some blamed the multiple-time Grammy nominee for his fallout with Karrahboo.
“This is his responsibility he made her career u made her like that!!” an individual wrote.
“Okay, Karrahboo definitely crossed a line, but I feel like Yachty didn’t need to take it that far by bringing up her past, like saying she was washing tables and all that. Sure, you helped her career and did a lot, but that’s not the way to handle it," another individual wrote.
Exploring Lil Yachty’s accusations about Karrahboo
Karrahbooh left Concrete Boys in July. Back then, it was reported that the split was “amicable.” However, earlier this month, an X user by the handle @C_Staxxz shared a picture with the Box the 40 rapper. She claimed in her caption that when she asked Karrahboo why she left Lil Yachty’s collective, she “corrected” her saying that she didn’t leave, but she was “kicked” out.
The fan’s post further alleged that Karrahboo accused Yachty and his team of “bullying” her and “being mean” to her, adding that she wouldn’t talk about it, because she can’t. The X user also mentioned that Karrahboo seemed to be “hurt” when she met her and accused Lil Yachty of treating her badly and being jealous of her because she was next in line to him.
Now, amid all the speculations, Lil Yachty took to his Instagram Live on Thursday and denied the rumors. He also threw shade at Karrahboo and said that while she was “out, lying” to people, he had ensured to "withheld your actions" internally.
“Go ahead and tell people how you talk to people. How you tell my security guard, ‘You homeless?’… You talk to people like they’re nothing! You talk to people like they’re small, like they’re beneath you. Tell people how you verbally abuse people,” he mentioned.
The One Night rapper also claimed that he wrote most of Karrahboo’s verses, including Rap Radar (he leaked a supposed reference track for it), adding that when he signed her on, she was a waitress. He also took credit for giving her a career, a life, money, jewelry, clothes, and more.
"We bought a Cartier watch. I gave you that chrome Rolex, bro. You was waiting tables... What are we talking about? I changed your mother f*cking life and you are here, lying, talking about some: 'we bully you'. That sh*t got me f*cked up, bro. You got me f*cked up, bro,” Yachty added.
Lil Boat, a nickname by which he is also called, alleged Karrahboo as “disrespectful,” who lied to people, talked crazy, and hurt them by labeling them as “poor,” or “nothing.”
He further accused her of owing him $900,000 in debt, saying:
“You talk to my f*cking label crazy. You claim I was stealing money...I got every receipt. $900,000 Concrete in the hole.”
Lil Yachty claimed that he “slowed the beat down… put 808s specifically on your verse so when it got to your part and the beat dropped, everyone would be like, ‘this girl is the craziest one,’” hinting that she got all the credit she deserved and more, but was still lying about his contribution in her life and career.
The Let’s Start Here rapper’s recent Instagram Live is in complete contrast to his statements earlier this year when he confirmed Karrahboo’s exit from his collective but added that he had nothing “bad” or “negative” to say about her, and wished her “the best” for her future endeavors.
The duo previously feuded during Yachty’s A Safe Space podcast when she tried to prevent him from using the n-word, but he refused to do so.
