"I’ve been getting hit with stuff for like years.”: Billie Eilish comments on fans throwing objects at her on stage

According to a report by The Hollywood Reporter dated July 9, 2023, Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas talked to the publication at the world premiere of Barbie in Los Angeles. Talking about the practice of people throwing objects at artists during concerts, Billie said that she's been hit onstage with things for six years adding that "people just get excited and it can be dangerous.”

The bad guy singer's brother mentioned that usually fans aren't trying to hurt the artist and aren't throwing things like oranges and tomatoes in protest but things like phones to get pictures. However, Billie added that it is "absolutely infuriating" when the artist is on stage and this happens.

Billie Eilish also said:

“I have mixed feelings about it, because when you’re up there it blows. But you know it’s out of love and they’re just trying to give you something. You’re in a vulnerable position, but I’ve been getting hit with stuff for like years.”

After the Ocean Eyes singer's statement, Finneas turned toward the camera telling people that even though the artists understand, people shouldn't throw things at them. Additionally, Billie asked people not to throw objects onstage stating "but we love you; it’s very sweet.”
