Megan Thee Stallion first met Beyonce at a New Year party hosted by the Knowles-Carter household. Since then, the two have reportedly been close to one another. The rapper shared photos with both Bey and her Grammy-winning daughter, Blue Ivy, after the party. Stallion went on to stress to Variety in August 2020 that Bey treated her "like family."

The two have worked on a song together and have won many awards for it. Megan Thee Stallion once revealed that Beyonce gave her business advice and helped her sort out the financial aspect of her career.

New Year, 2020: Megan Thee Stallion meets Beyonce at a New Year party

Megan Thee Stallion was one of the guests at the New Year party hosted by Beyonce and Jay-Z. She recalled dancing all night and celebrating the New Year with Queen Bey and her family. In an August 2020 interview with Variety, the rapper recalled:

"In the first five minutes of the conversation, I felt like I've been knowing her [Beyonce] all my life. She treated me like family, and now I feel like I am family."

April 29, 2020: Megan drops Savage, featuring Bey

Megan Thee Stallion released Savage as part of her album Suga on March 6, 2020. A month later, she released a remix of the song featuring Queen Bey. The song reached the top of the Billboard Hot 100 on May 26, 2020. It was Megan's first and Beyonce's seventh musical number to reach that status.

In an April 2023 interview with Elle, Megan gushed about her reaction when Bey agreed to collaborate with her.

“My mind was blown. I called my granny. Me and my manager were in my living room, going crazy.”

March 14, 2021: Queen Bey and Megan Thee Stallion accept a Grammy together

The two won Best Rap Song at the 63rd Grammy Awards in March 2021. It was Megan Thee Stallion's second Grammy of the night, and also made Beyonce the joint-highest Grammy-winning artist of all time (she went on to win another award that night and made the title her own).

“Ever since I was little, I was like, ‘You know what? One day, I’mma grow up and I’mma be, like, the rap Beyoncé.’ That was definitely my goal,” said Megan in her acceptance speech.

Meanwhile, Queen Bey thanked Megan Thee Stallion for asking her to be a part of her song.


September 23, 2023: Megan performs live with Bey during the Renaissance Tour

Megan Thee Stallion made a surprise appearance during the Houston wing of Beyonce's Renaissance Tour. The two took to the stage with their first-ever live performance of the Savage Remix.

Queen Bey spoke about Megan Thee Stallion in front of several thousand fans.

“Don’t she make you proud, Houston? She makes me proud. I love you, queen!” she gushed.

Meanwhile, Megan returned the appreciation by raving about Queen Bey on her TikTok after the performance. The 29-year-old captioned her post as:

“Yall ive been ugly crying with my lace lifting all weekend lol i will never stop screaming about this moment! I have loved BEYONCE my WHOLE LIFE this means EVERYTHING TO ME! I love you BEY”

July 2024: Bey gives business advice to Megan Thee Stallion

Megan Thee Stallion once opened up about the business advice given to her by Queen Bey. In a July 1, 2024, episode of the Club Shay Shay podcast, the rapper revealed that she used to love cognac and promote other people's liquor brands. However, Bey advised her to establish her own alcoholic beverage brand and take money matters into her own hands.

"As much as I used to enjoy cognac and I promoted a lot of people's liquor brands, she [Beyonce] was like, 'The next time I see you, you need to have your own alcoholic beverage,'" recalled Megan.

The Beautiful Mistakes rapper also talked about how Bey and Jay-Z helped her navigate through a period of uncertainty when she was planning to get out of her record label deal. Their words of motivation and advice helped her power through that period. She finally left her record label and is now her own boss.
