One of the founding members of the Jackson 5, Tito Jackson, recently passed away on September 15, 2024. In a statement to Entertainment Tonight, his friend, Steve Manning, marked his belief that Tito allegedly died after suffering a heart attack, at the age of 70.

Days before his death, Tito Jackson visited his late brother Michael Jackson's memorial, alongside brothers Marlon and Jackie in Munich on September 11, 2024, and took to Facebook to inform his fans of the same.

The caption of Tito's post in front of Michael Jackson's Munich memorial stated:

"Before our show in Munich, my brothers Jackie, Marlon, and I, visited the beautiful memorial dedicated to our beloved brother, Michael Jackson. We're deeply grateful for this special place that honors not only his memory but also our shared legacy."

The late member of the Jackson 5 also thanked fans for keeping Michael Jackson's spirit alive.

"The world was not kind to Michael at all"— Tito Jackson once mentioned feeling Michael Jackson's presence

Tito was an original member of The Jackson 5, featuring Jermaine, Michael, Jackie, and Marlon Jackson. The band is credited with hits like I Want You Back, I'll Be There, and ABC. Additionally, The Jackson 5 was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1980 and was admitted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997.

In an interview with The Mirror dated August 17, 2024, Tito Jackson returned to the UK where he was staying close to The O2, where Michael Jackson had been due to play his This Is It residency. Talking about his late brother, Tito told the publication that he feels Michael Jackson's presence when he goes onstage, and that he witnesses the late singer's smile on the faces of his children.

Talking about Michael Jackson's death being a tragedy, Tito told the publication:

"The world was not kind to Michael at all. I don't know why. I would always say if we didn't have him, we sure would miss him. His death was such a major tragedy. The world definitely missed out on a lot of goodness from him, because he wasn't just a musician or an artist, he was a loving person. He loved to give."

Additionally, Tito Jackson also hinted at being tired of the legal family feuds that followed Michael Jackson's death, with the current one being between Michael Jackson's mother Katherine and his estate's executors. Talking about how he doesn't have the time to put it in his head, Titto mentioned:

"We know ourselves and we know each other. It just angers me. There are not too many people that I trust. Learning from this business... Well, there are a whole lot of wealthy people in showbusiness that are not artists, so you wonder how they got all their wealth."

Further in the interview, Tito stated that he frequently visits Michael's children Prince, Paris, and Bigi. He commented on the possibility of the children following their father's footsteps and stated that they "haven't figured it all out yet" mentioning that Michael Jackson would be proud of them.

Tito Jackson's death was confirmed via an Instagram post on September 16, 2024, by his three sons Taj, Taryll, and TJ. The late Jackson 5 member's sons called their father "an incredible man who cared about everyone and their well-being."
