A brief overview of Trippie Redd's career
Trippie Redd released his debut studio album, Life's a Trip, on August 10, 2018. The album remains one of the most successful records of Redd's career, having charted at number 4 on the Billboard 200 album chart and attaining platinum certificates in the US and Canada. The album featured collaborations with Diplo, Travis Scott, Young Thug, and Reese Laflare, respectively.
The singer released his second studio album Pegasus on October 30, 2020, with a deluxe edition following on February 19, 2021. Titled Neon Shark vs Pegasus, the deluxe edition of the album is a collaborative work with Travis Barker, the drummer of blink-182, and reimagines the album into a rock music work.
The singer elaborated on working with Travis Barker in an exclusive interview with Billboard Magazine on August 2, 2019, stating,
"I made five of the songs in one night and fixed the rest of the songs in the next two to three nights. “It was [Travis and I] sending stuff back-and-forth, like old Blink-182 sh*t and making new sh*t with Dance Gavin Dance."
The singer continued,
"I was coming up with concepts with older rock records and reconstructing beats. Three songs are a remake of a beat, but it’s going to be different."
In the same year, the singer released Trip at Knight on August 20, 2021. The album peaked at number 4 on the Billboard 200 album chart and remains his second-largest record success after his debut album.
Trippie Redd released his latest studio album, Mansion Musik, on January 23, 2023. Despite being rush-released to get ahead of hackers, the album was mostly well-received by fans.
