Tyler, the Creator praised online for unique 'Chromakopia' album rollout

In a 2023 interview with music journalist Nardwaur, Tyler shared his thoughts on breaking the industry's Friday release norm.

According to Tyler, the Creator, music released at the start of the week would allow listeners to engage with the project more deeply. The rapper compares this to a Friday release schedule, citing how most people just "wanna chill" and hang out on the weekend.

"I think we should put music out again on Tuesdays, instead of Fridays. I think it's a lot of passive listening, at parties or people get the time to the gym, so they're not really listening. And people on the weekends just wanna chill and hang out, so they're not really listening." - Tyler, the Creator stated.

Sticking to this approach, Tyler dropped NOID on a Monday with an official music video featuring The Bear's Ayo Edibiri, in a cameo appearance portraying a crazed fan.

Tyler, the Creator has also scheduled Chromakopia's release for next Monday, October 28, giving it just a four-day charting week instead of the usual seven days. Billboard has confirmed they track chart performances and sales from Friday to Thursday.

With the latest vinyl trailer unveiling three new tracks, fans took to social media to discuss the upcoming project. One individual was seen praising Chromakopia's rollout for being "perfect," highlighting the effort Tyler has taken to keep his audience intrigued, while also not revealing too much about his upcoming album.

Fans commented on reposts of Tyler, the Creator's latest tweets, on X (formerly Twitter), praising him for his unique approach to releasing Chromakopia, with many highlighting their budding anticipation for the upcoming album.

"Not that there wasn’t a conversation before, but if Chromakopia delivers, we need to have some serious conversations about Tyler’s place on a modern day hip-hop Mount Rushmore…" - A Tyler, the Creator fan claims.
"Noid grew on me like crazy in just the past day. And now we get snippets of 3 absolute bangers that sound like igor if he rapped." - Another stated.
"Tyler can't even trust his own shadow at this point" - A Tyler, the Creator fan humorously points out.
"I feel bad for Tyler because he puts so much thought and emotion into his songs and most people just look past that, when really it's an important song, like 'Not My Responsibility' by Billie Eilish, that person put up that video, I feel so bad for celebrity's they can't live life" - An X user highlights.
"Like this is very casually the best rollout aside from how Kendrick doing this Beyonce level campaign. This is a remarkable album roll out. That second song sounds crazy." - A Tyler, the Creator fan suggests.
"Okay this my favorite of the roll out visuals so far. Great acting through the mannerisms. The obvious contrast in energy is one thing, but the smaller movements and the pacing of the switching is great." - Added another.
"I’m too hyped for this project man ts sounds like a masterpiece" - A Tyler, the Creator fan commented.

Since the release of NOID, the single has garnered over 2.5 million streams on Spotify. The music video on the other hand has surpassed 5.5 million views on Tyler, the Creator's official YouTube channel.

Tyler, the Creator took to social media today to confirm the official Chromakopia "World Tour," scheduled to run between February 2025 and September 2025. The tour will also reportedly feature guest appearances from Lil Yachty and Paris Texas.
