Singer-actress Halle Bailey was seen at the front row of an Usher concert along with her partner, YouTuber and rapper DDG, on September 25 in Los Angeles. In a moment from the show, the R&B crooner tried to feed a cherry to Halle. However, DDG was seen grabbing the fruit and feeding it to her instead.

The video of the incident has now garnered severe traction online and revealed the couple sharing a laugh while Usher approached them from the stage. It was, in fact, shared by the Maybe It's Me... rapper on Instagram Story with the caption, “Usher tried to give Halle a cherry in front of me” accompanied by three laughing emojis.

The viral footage has now sparked wild reactions online. For instance, Instagram user @pounddcakee_ made a hilarious comment on The Shade Room’s repost of the video.

The person compared the Nice & Slow hitmaker to baby oil and said he was trying to be smoother than that. It was a cheeky reference to the feds seizing 1000 bottles of baby oil from the R&B singer’s former mentor Sean “Diddy” Combs’ houses earlier this year during a raid.

“Usher thinks he slicker than baby oil, ain’t it. DDG said, ‘Aht Aht,’” the user wrote.

Several others joined the conversation and shared similar meme-worthy reactions on the social media platform X.

“I’m on DDG side, Usher needs to stop going after women who are taken. That was disrespectful of him to do. DDG played that off real good as well,” a person wrote.
“Usher really be trying it fam. All them other women but you gone try the one with her man right beside her,” one person wrote.
“Nah, Usher too bold,” wrote another.

Meanwhile, others praised the Valedictorian rapper for handling the situation like a pro.

“That’s his woman, and he gon stick beside herrr,” a fan wrote.
“Not his biggest fan but THIS is how you assert a boundary without being a weirdo and ruining the fun,” wrote another.
“DDG said ‘aht aht’ not on my watch lol,” a netizen wrote.
“He laughing but he gon turn that deep voice on Usher after the concert,” another netizen wrote.

Usher’s Thursday night LA show was the last stop of his ongoing Past Present Future Tour. Last month, he was spotted feeding cherries to two female fans in the crowd during his Detroit stop, the video of which became viral.

DDG and Halle Bailey have previously attended Usher's concert

DDG and Halle Bailey began dating in early 2022 and in December 2023, they became parents to a baby boy, Halo. In fact, the couple first became romantically linked when they attended Usher’s My Way residency in Las Vegas in January 2022. Back then, a video surfaced online showing DDG and Halle sharing drinks while exchanging conversation.

At one point in the viral video, Bailey was seen seemingly exclaiming, “Oh my God!” a reaction to perhaps the onstage performance. Subsequently, Usher shared a video on his social media with the pair. Fans of DDG and Halle Bailey have often regarded it as their first public date.

As for the U Remind Me crooner, he has been serenading female celebrity concertgoers at his shows, including the likes of Angel Reese, Gabrielle Union, Janelle Monae, and Saweetie.

In the summer of 2024, Darius Jackson, the former partner of Keke Palmer even slammed Usher on social media for seemingly trying to get close to his then-girlfriend.

Usher, who has been married to music executive Jennifer Goicoechea since February of this year and shares two children with her, appeared on the Club Shay Shay podcast and told the host Shannon Sharpe the history behind his serenading women. He said he began the practice during his residency years and joked how no man should “leave your girl around me.”

The former coach of The Voice has been in the news lately for being an ex-mentee of Sean “Diddy” Combs who was recently arrested and indicted for charges including racketeering conspiracy, s*x trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, and transportation to engage in prostitution.

In fact, he briefly took down all his posts from X making fans speculate that it was a consequence of the Diddy scandal. However, Usher later clarified that his account was hacked. Currently, his social media handles remain active.
