In September 2024, singer Dawn Richard, in her s*xual abuse lawsuit against her former label boss Sean “Diddy” Combs, claimed that she witnessed the Bad Boy Records mogul and “several other males gang-b*nging” his female ex-assistant at a hotel pool in Glasglow, Scotland.

During his recent appearance on The Art of Dialogue podcast, published on October 22, 2024, Diddy’s former head of security, Gene Deal, was asked about the allegation. Deal responded by saying that he believed it was possible and shared how a lawsuit from the female assistant who was allegedly assaulted might also be on the way.

"All I can say is that you know... all of it sounds like using his power to get at people that works for him," Gene noted.

The ex-bodyguard of Combs continued by stating that if Diddy was allegedly exploiting his power, his employees could bring him “to court nine out of ten times” and win if they could “prove” it.

Exploring more about Gene Deal’s latest remarks about Diddy allegedly assaulting a female assistant

Gene Deal sat down with The Art of Dialogue on Tuesday and got candid about Dawn Richard’s accusation that Diddy and his male associates gangr*ped one of his female assistants at a pool in Scotland, which she claimed to have witnessed first-hand.

The former bodyguard said that the Danity Kane member could have only witnessed the alleged incident when she was working on the studio album Last Train To Paris between 2008 and 2010, which was a venture by the musical trio Diddy – Dirty Money, comprising Sean Combs, Dawn Richard, and Kaleena Harper.

Notably, the album revolved around Diddy’s character, who toured from London to Paris in search of the “woman of his dreams,” only to find and lose her a couple of times before settling with her for the final time.

“We didn’t know what the ‘Train of Paris’ meant. But now we know that the ‘Train of Paris’ was a train in Scotland, according to Dawn,” Gene claimed.

He further alleged that the only time he ever “witnessed” Diddy was when “two guys and two girls go in a room,” which he called “regular.” Deal added, “However they did or whatever they did was their business.” The ex-security head even mentioned that to do what Dawn Richard claimed Diddy did in front of her and other people at a poolside was “bold enough.”

“I just think you gotta go back to the drugs and alcohol man… those things make you do strange things,” Gene Deal added.

The industry insider even shared that if there were a separate lawsuit coming from the female assistant who was reportedly “gangb*nged” by Diddy and his male associates, he wouldn’t be surprised.

“'Cause you can’t do that to people… that work for you, bro. You can’t.” He added.

In brief, looking at Dawn Richard’s lawsuit against Diddy

Last month, Dawn Richard sued Sean Combs, accusing him of s*xual assault, hosting parties with drugs and s*x-related activities involving minors, and “inhumane” treatment such as throwing objects as well as withholding food, sleep, and payment for work done on albums, among others.

This came less than a week before Diddy was arrested by the feds and charged with racketeering conspiracy, s*x trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, and transportation to engage in prostitution.

According to the civil lawsuit, obtained by Page Six at the time, Richard claimed that Combs subjected her to verbal abuse as well and addressed her and other contestants on the 2004 edition of the reality show Making the Band as “fat,” “ugly,” “b*tches,” and “h*es,” among others.

Elsewhere, Dawn accused her former label boss of forcing her to rehearse for two nights in a row without sleep, which reportedly made her lose weight, become dehydrated, and end up with body rashes.

The lawsuit also alleged Combs of s*xually assaulting the Been a While singer multiple times between 2009 and 2011, such as touching her breasts and b*ttocks when she was changing in her dressing room.

“Mr. Combs frequently smacked Ms. Richard’s bare b*ttocks and often commented on her body, noting that although she was ‘too skinny,’ she had an ‘a*s,'” the suit claimed.

The court documents also mentioned that Dawn Richard reportedly witnessed alleged physical abuse of Diddy’s former girlfriend Cassie at his hands on more than one occasion.

It claimed that Combs allegedly made death threats to Dawn, and Harper tried to intervene and help Cassie. The DK3 hitmaker even allegedly saw his ex-partner and mother of his children, the late Kim Porter, purportedly exiting a studio crying with bruises across her face in 2005.

However, in the wake of the lawsuit, Combs’ attorney Erica Wolff told Page Six that her client was both “shocked and disappointed” at the “series of false claims” that Dawn Richard seemingly “manufactured” to secure a “payday – conveniently timed to coincide with her album release and press tour.”

“If Ms. Richard had such a negative experience with Making the Band and Danity Kane, she would not have chosen to continue working directly with Mr. Combs for Dirty Money, nor would she have returned for the Making the Band reboot in 2020 or agreed to be featured on The Love Album last year,” Wolff added.

The lawyer even shared that it was “unfortunate” that the plaintiff “cast their 20-year friendship aside” to damage Combs’ reputation and seek money from him and that he was “confidently standing on truth and looks forward to proving that in court.”

At the time, Dawn Richard asked for compensatory damages, including a monetary judgment for psychological trauma, anguish, and emotional distress, as well as punitive and exemplary damages, including covering her legal fees.

Notably, Cassie filed a $30 million lawsuit against Diddy in November 2023, which was settled for an undisclosed amount outside court in less than a day. However, Combs' legal team went on record to state that a settlement was not an admission of any wrongdoing on his part.
