At 22 years of age, Billie Eilish has taken the music industry by storm. In addition to her success as a singer-songwriter, she has also entered the world of television and OTT platforms.

In 2022, when long-running kids educational show Sesame Street returned on Cartoonito on HBO Max for its 52nd season, one of its episodes featured Billie Eilish. The Ocean Eyes singer was seen performing a kid-friendly rendition of her second studio album's lead, Happier Than Ever. She was joined by the kids-favorite Count Von Count on the steps of Sesame Street.

In addition to Billie Eilish, Sesame Street featured several other artists and celebrities in its 52nd season, which started airing on November 11, 2021. The show's other guests include John Batiste, Anderson .Paak, Naomi Osaka, Keke Palmer, Dr. Mae Jemison, Amanda Gordon, and Kacey Musgraves.

Billie Eilish appeared in the 32nd episode of Sesame Street's season 52, which aired on Cartoonito on June 16, 2022. In the show, Eilish was seen wearing an oversized fading brown turtleneck with dark trousers and brown and white sneakers.

The bad guy singer was sporting her natural blonde hair and sang a kid-appropriate version of her song, Happier Than Ever. Through the song, the Lovely singer teaches kids how to count to two and is assisted by Count von Count. Together, they sing a song's variation with these lyrics:

"When I'm counting with you/ I'm happier than ever/ Numbers sound so much better/Here's what we'll do/ Come on, let's count to two"

Besides the two of them, the other characters that make an appearance in the episode are Burt, Big Bird, Elmo, and the two-headed monster.

The 52nd season of Sesame Street was shot during the COVID-19 pandemic, which is why some of its episodes had to be filmed at locations outside their soundstage, keeping in mind the safety protocols of social distancing.

Ben Lehmann, the senior vice president of the Sesame Workshop, said:

"Creating this season of Sesame Street during the pandemic has been an enormous undertaking. Just as our characters use playful problem-solving in the face of challenges, we, too, took a creative approach, finding creative solutions while keeping our cast and crew safe. We're proud of what we've been able to produce and grateful to our partners at WarnerMedia and PBS for their continued support of Sesame Street."

Following her debut on Sesame Street, Eilish also played a cameo role in a Prime Video series, Swarm in 2023. It is a satirical comedy horror thriller that focuses on the toxic side of fans' obsession with the celebrities they follow.

In the series, Billie Eilish plays a cult leader Eva, who gets Dre, the protagonist, to confess her crimes by sweet-talking her into a trap.

In February 2024, Eilish also won the People's Choice Award for the TV Performance of the Year for her work in Swarm. While accepting the award, the 22-year-old dedicated it to Dominique Fishback, who was the protagonist of the show, praising her talent by saying:

"She's incredible, she's beautiful. She's talented. She should be cast in everything forever."

In a 2023 interview with Variety, the singer-songwriter revealed that she wanted to try acting for a long time, especially considering both her parents were actors. However, Eilish was hesitant because she thought she'd be bad at it.
