Gwen Stefani's son Zuma Rossdale made his country music debut at his stepfather Blake Shelton's Nashville bar. On Monday, July 29, 15-year-old Zuma showed up at Blake Shelton's Ole Red bar in Nashville, Tennessee while sporting a country attire complete with a cowboy hat, a pair of boots, and a guitar. A proud Blake Shelton introduced his stepson to his patrons as the boy took center stage.
The audience let out a loud cheer and Shelton sat on the side of the stage as Zuma began strumming his guitar and asked the audience if they could hear him. At one point, Gwen Stefani could even be heard gushing about how "cute" her son looked on stage.
Zuma seemed to be a fan of Zach Bryan as he immediately broke into Bryan's 2022 hit track Oklahoma Smokeshow from the EP Summertime Blues. Here is a video of Zuma's performance at Blake Shelton's bar:
The 15-year-old also performed Bryan's 2020 track Revival from his second studio album, Elizabeth. While performing the track, the teenager received overwhelming support from audience members who sang along to the chorus. At the end of the performance, the whole bar tremendously cheered on the young singer as a beaming Blake Shelton stood up and clapped towards the side of the stage.
Gwen Stefani is a proud mother of three boys
Gwen Stefani shares three kids with her ex-husband and Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale. After first meeting in 1995, Stefani and Rossdale dated for a few years before tying the knot in 2002. The couple was married for 12 years up until 2015 when they filed for divorce citing "irreconcilable differences". Stefani later tied the knot with her The Voice co-judge Blake Shelton in 2021.
Stefani and Rossdale's first child Kingston James McGregor Rossdale was born in 2006 and is currently 18 years old and in a relationship with make-up artist Lola Albert. Interestingly, Kingston, who also followed in his musical parents' footsteps, also performed publically for the first time in 2023 at none other than Blake Shelton’s Oklahoma bar, Ole Red. After the performance, Stefani told People:
"King has been writing a bunch of amazing songs. When it's your kid, it's like, you love everything, but this is next level to me. These are really good songs,"
Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale's second child, the aforementioned Zuma Nesta Rock Rossdale was born in 2008 and is currently 15 years old. According to People magazine, the singer described Zuma as having a great sense of humor when the kid was only 3 years of age. When Zuma was 12, Stefani posted a picture alongside him on Instagram and called them "twins".
Zuma's father Gavin Rossdale has also previously described her middle child as the "toughest" of the bunch. In a 2020 interview with People, Rossdale revealed that Zuma broke one arm from falling off a bike and another from an accident at home, in a span of just 6 weeks. He told the publication:
"He's so brave and he's so strong ... He's a really tough kid. I'd be terrified if any of the other kids had to go through what he went through, 'cause he's by far the toughest."
The former couple's third boy Apollo Bowie Flynn Rossdale was born in 2014 and is currently 10 years old. Gwen Stefani opened up about being heartbroken when Apollo left for kindergarten in 2019. In a 2019 interview with Entertainment Tonight, the Hollaback Girl singer said:
"I got a baby in kindergarten now and that was devastating. But he's so excited and he's doing so well. I got junior high… God gave me all three boys. I've always been surrounded by boys."
All three of Gwen Stefani's kids were suited up and present at the singer's Hollywood Walk of Fame Ceremony in October 2023, alongside their stepfather Blake Shelton. During her speech, Stefani stated that the greatest gift of all time was "to be a mom". She called her children her "biggest blessings" and gushed at how proud she was of them.
