Canadian rapper Alexander Eli Morand aka OVO Smiley recently confirmed a new collaboration with Drake during a live stream. In a video of the stream posted by @AkademiksTV on December 3, 2025, talking about his upcoming album, the rapper said:
"Drake too, we have a new slapper coming out,"
Additionally, he assured his fans that his collab with Drizzy will be released as a lead single and will also feature on his to-be-released album. While the One Dance rapper and OVO Smiley don't have many collaborations together, this is not the first time Smiley has acknowledged Drizzy's involvement in his music career.

During an interview with BET in July 2023, OVO Smiley mentioned that Drake helped him get off the street life in Toronto stating:
"I don't want to be my life on pause. Before, that's all I knew. My big dogs, that street life, that’s my only big dogs. Those times after, Drake was my big dog. He was messing with me and then we're both trying to [meet each other] and then I seen his lifestyle and the rapper lifestyle, and that just became more appealing to me."
Moreover, during his livestream, Smiley did not offer specific details of his upcoming collab with Drizzy like the song's title or information on his yet-to-be-released album.
Drake drops snippets of three new tracks: Details explored
Multiple X accounts have reported that snippets of three new Drake tracks have surfaced online. While the rapper has been teasing new music for some time, the snippets garnered a lot of attention from fans.
The first snippet is 9 seconds long while the other two are 15 seconds in length. According to a report by HotNewHipHop dated December 3, 2025, the first snippet features Drizzy rapping over a mid-tempo trap instrumental and the publication has compared the instrumental sounds to the first half of Waiting For You.
The second snippet presents R&B-like energy featuring PARTYNEXTDOOR in which the two rap about putting rocks up women's fingers and express grief over making women cry. Additionally, the third snippet features Drake rapping aggressively over a beat similar to his 2023 song Daylight.
However, the snippets aren't visible on the X pages they were posted on, showcasing a message stating that the media has been disabled due to a report by the copyright owner.
"One of the projects that I'm most proud of in my life": Drake comments on upcoming album with PARTYNEXTDOOR
During the "Drizzmas Giveaway" livestream with Adin Ross on December 26, 2024, Drizzy addressed his upcoming album with PARTYNEXTDOOR. Talking about the album, the rapper said that he dropped off some s*it this year and mentioned:
"Me and Party is like honestly one of the projects that I'm most proud of in my life"
Additionally, the Passionfruit rapper shared that he always wanted to make a full album featuring "Toronto Sound" and R&B. Drizzy said that the upcoming album is the best that he and PND have to offer.
Drizzy and PARTYNEXTDOOR announced their upcoming album in August 2024 when Drizzy appeared as a surprise guest at PND's Toronto concert. Additionally, during the DRIZZMAS livestream, Adin Ross expressed disappointment over the delay in Drizzy and PND's album alleging that the rapper lied to him about the album dropping three weeks before the stream.
