Country star Jelly Roll's wife, Bunnie XO, discussed their decision to have kids via IVF on her podcast Dumb Blonde on July 2. She shared that they are planning to expand their family and are considering having twin boys, though they haven't made a final decision.

Bunnie said

"We're on the fence of having twins."

The duo are not planning on implanting until February 2025. Bunnie also shared that her husband was "really excited" about having kids with her. Jelly Roll is already the father to two children from previous relationships, Bailee Ann, 16, and Noah Buddy, 7.

On Tuesday's episode of Dumb Blonde, Bunnie, who married Jelly back in 2016, shared that the couple began seeing a fertility specialist in 2019 but weren't mentally and financially ready until 2024. The couple plans to have kids through IVF via a surrogate.

"This journey with IVF, we sat down a couple months ago. And I was just like, I feel like I've accomplished so much in my life. And the only thing that's left is to raise a baby and garden," Bunnie said.

She joked

"I’m in my baby mama gardening era."

She further noted that Jelly Roll had told her that he would "love" to have a baby with her. Bunnie XO was not really expecting that sort of response and asked him if he had always felt this way.

"He was like, 'Yeah, I will always have a baby with you. If you want to have a baby, cool. If you don't, cool. Whatever you want to do. So now he's, like, really excited about it," Bunnie said.

Bunnie continued

"We think we want to have twin boys. I'm not sure; we could have one, we could have two. We don't know what we're going to do yet. We don't plan on implanting until February 2025."

During an appearance on the Bussin' With The Boys podcast on June 4, Jelly Roll shared for the first time that he and his wife were undergoing IVF. According to Bunnie, they had initially thought of keeping their journey private as the internet liked to "ruin beautiful things".

However, she posted the clip of her husband's podcast revelation on Instagram captioned, "God Willing- Baby DeFord 2026 💫". She explained her decision on the post itself.

She wrote

"We had planned on doing this privately, but decided our IVF journey needed to be shared because we’ve always been so open. And w/ all odds stacked against us, it’s already been hard & we have only just begun."

She further added that they had been meeting with doctors and exploring all options to add to their family.

On Tuesday's episode of Dumb Blonde, Bunnie XO explained

"I thought about it and I was like, ‘My husband is f**king excited to have a kid with me. How cool is that? If he wants to f**king scream it from the mountain tops, f**king let him. It doesn’t matter how I feel about what other people think."

Bunnie XO explained that she received messages of "overwhelming love" in response to the revelation and noted that people rooting for you, is all you need when dealing with trouble getting pregnant and infertility, which she described as a "very fragile situation".

Bunnie XO decided not to carry the baby herself because she felt mentally unprepared for the hormonal changes. She shared that she was in a good place mentally, free from depression and anxiety, which led the couple to choose a surrogate despite being fertile.

Bunnie assured listeners there was no issue with using a surrogate. She shared that she had previously lost many pregnancies and didn't have time for more miscarriages or ectopic pregnancies due to her busy schedule.

Despite the current revelation, the rest of the couple's IVF journey was going to be kept under wraps.

Bunnie XO announced

"From here on out with the IVF journey, I want to keep it private. Because we are going to be using one of my eggs and we're going to be using J's sperm, and we're going to be doing egg retrieval and a round of IVF."

Bunnie XO told people that the next time she was going to be talking about IVF or the babies is after their birth and that too, if the couple chooses to introduce them to the world.
