Houston lawyer Tony Buzbee, who’s representing 120 alleged victims and spearheading multiple lawsuits against Sean “Diddy” Combs, told TMZ Live on October 8, 2024, that many high-profile celebrities were reportedly trying to discreetly settle before their names publicly come out.
The attorney further mentioned how his law firm was planning to sue A-listers but was also giving them the opportunity to “settle” with the plaintiffs, adding that a few of them have already opted for a settlement. Meanwhile, he also told the New York Post:
“In every single case, especially cases like this, we collect our data… evidence, do our due diligence, spend time with the victim, because it’s in the best interests of the victim, we attempt to resolve these matters without the filing of a public lawsuit and we’ve done that already with a handful of individuals, many of which you’ve heard of before.”
Tony Buzbee shared that he has already issued demand letters informing celebrities, including Diddy, of legal consequences for alleged criminal activities such as s*xual assault, abuse, trafficking, and more.
Tony Buzbee claims that many famous individuals will be exposed as part of the Diddy scandal
Tony Buzbee recently spoke with media outlets such as TMZ and shared how he plans to “aggressively” target anybody who witnessed the alleged s*xual misconduct by Diddy but didn’t do anything to “intervene” or “protect” the alleged victims.
“If… you were there in the room, participated, watched it happen, and didn’t say anything or helped cover it up, in my view, you have a problem. A lot of people saw this activity going on, a lot of people allowed it to go on, said nothing, didn’t intervene… all of these individuals and entities have exposure,” he shared.
The Texas Aggie continued:
“If you were attending one of these parties […] and you attended before or you knew what was going to happen — that is, you knew that a particular drug was being used in drinks that were causing people to be coerced and taken advantage of…”
However, Tony Buzbee said that he won’t be dropping any names this week as he wanted to “ensure” that before exposing anyone publicly, he did his “homework” and was definite about their involvement, adding, “It will spark a firestorm.”
He added how his legal team and he were "fully aware" that everyone was focused on the case and wanted to know the other celebrities who were reportedly "involved" in the Diddy scandal.
The Marine Corps veteran turned lawyer also claimed that many recognizable people, who were reportedly part of Diddy’s now-infamous “freak off” parties or “elaborate s*x performances” where young and often underaged females were allegedly forced to engage in s*xual activities, have also been attempting to pay out the victims and silence them amid rising fears of multiple lawsuits.
The litigator also told TMZ that the demand letters he has sent out to A-listers would notify them to come forward and “disclose” any knowledge they have about Diddy’s parties, and try and “resolve matters” privately.
Earlier, he told Page Six that too many individuals had “exposure” in the Diddy case, who “will be named when they will be named” and all of that “will come out in due course.”
On October 1, Tony Buzbee announced at a press conference that he would be suing Diddy and several others on the accusations of “s*xual abuse of minors,” “facilitated s*x with a controlled substance,” “violent s*xual assault or r*pe,” and “dissemination of video recordings.”
"The day will come when we will name names, other than Sean Combs, and there's a lot of names. It's a long list already, but because of the nature of this case, we are going to make damn sure that we're right before we do that. But the names that we're going to name ... are names that will shock you," he shared back then.
At the time, he also shared how he would be representing 120 people, 60 males, and 60 females, out of thousands who approached him. He claimed 25 of them were minors during the alleged abuses, including a 9-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl, alongside other plaintiffs belonging to different age groups.
