Westside Gunn just announced the third installment to his FLYGOD IS AN AWESOME GOD mixtape series, and confirmed the tape will be delivered to DSPs (Digital Streaming Platforms) later this year.
Gunn took to social media On July 22, to post the official cover art for FLYGOD IS AN AWESOME GOD 3 along with a snippet of a song from the mixtape. As per the rapper's caption, this EP was announced during TNA Wrestling's PPV SLAMMIVERSARY show the previous night.

The official tracklist and release date for this project are yet to be unveiled but over the past few days, fans did receive a sneak peek into the gritty production and aggressive cadence he plans to bring on this EP.

The project follows up on his 2023 fifth studio album And Then You Pray For Me and the 9-track collaboration with Conway The Machine and The Alchemist titled Hall & Nash 2, which also includes a feature from ScHoolboy Q.
The project was teased back in 2022 in a slew of tweets that also confirmed his intention to drop his sixth LP and final studio album, Michelle Records, not long after FLYGOD IS AN AWESOME GOD 3 releases in Fall.
After almost two years of silence, Westside took to Instagram to promote his wrestling brand Fourth Rope (aka 4th Rope) while simultaneously confirming the completion of a new project, which was likely hinting at FLYGOD IS AN AWESOME GOD 3.

A brief history of Westside Gunn's 'FLYGOD IS AN AWESOME GOD' mixtape series
The mixtape series draws inspiration from Westside Gunn's debut studio album Flygod, which was released in March 2016. This project introduced his fanbase to his alias of "Flygod," where he showcases an iconic nasal delivery, dynamic rap styles, and expensive-sounding beats which would become a benchmark for future releases.
Gunn first dropped FLYGOD IS AN AWESOME GOD in 2017, which was around the same time Westside's co-founded label, Griselda Records, had signed an exclusive deal with Eminem's Shady Records.
The rapper would then release three full-length studio albums and six mixtapes, which included 2017's FLYGOD IS AN AWESOME GOD and 2020's FLYGOD IS AN AWESOME GOD 2.
Not long after the second installment to his iconic mixtape series was released, Griselda and Shady Records would end their partnership returning Westside Gunn to an "independent artist's" status.
Given that several of Westside Gunn's projects have been released around Halloween, it's safe to assume that FLYGOD IS AN AWESOME GOD 3 will likely be released sometime in Fall, later this year.
