Pop sensation Lizzo seemingly responded to Antonio Brown's statement about her. Following the Presidential election, Lizzo released an Instagram video on Thursday, November 7, where she sent a message to her fans by filming herself writing on a piece of paper with a pen. The singer wrote that she was sending love to everyone in the world.

The Truth Hurts hitmaker captioned her post with a rainbow. A slew of comments under the singer's post questioned the way she held her pen. Later that day, the popular X (formerly known as Twitter) handle, Pop Base made a post about the video. On Sunday, November 10, former NFL star Antonio Brown responded to the X post by tweeting:

"She hold the pen like she hold her ozempic shot….."

While the singer previously endorsed Kamala Harris for president, Brown's endorsement went to Donald Trump. Over the past year, Lizzo's reported weight loss resulted in the singer facing a slew of allegations claiming that she was on the controversial weight loss drug Ozempic.

On Monday, November 11, the singer took to Instagram and posted a carousel of pictures. In what seemed like a response to Brown, the singer captioned her post:

"Holding life like an ozempic pen.. 😝"

"I’ve been methodical, losing weight very slowly": Lizzo

When Lizzo unveiled her brand new shapewear-influenced Yitty swimwear line in March, she sat down for an interview with The New York Times where she delved deep into the modern concept of body positivity.

According to the singer, the idea of body positivity moved away from its "antiquated mainstream conception" and evolved into "body neutrality". The singer stated that she was not going to lie and say that she loved her body every day. She added that the way a person feels about their body changes often. The Juice hitmaker said:

"There are some days I adore my body, and others when I don’t feel completely positive."

The singer told the publication that she was taking time every day to "put some love" into her body and that there was never a day where she regretted taking a walk or doing some Pilates. She said:

"I’ve been methodical, losing weight very slowly,"

The singer's weight loss has also fueled a ton of online criticism and allegations of Ozempic use. She further told the publication:

"I don't really see it because if anyone who's on a natural weight-loss journey knows, losing weight is actually the slowest thing in the world and you don't really notice it until you notice it."

Later, in an Instagram post on September 21, Lizzo uploaded a carousel of images along with a video that stated she was undergoing "5 months of weight training and calorie deficit."

One of the images was a screenshot of a commenter asking her whether she used the controversial weight-loss drug, Ozempic or took another substance. The singer responded by asking the user why they were following her.

Lizzo further hit back at critics via her Halloween outfit from this year. The singer mimicked Ozempic by dressing up as a weight loss drug called “Lizzo,” uploading images of the same on Instagram on October 26. This was seemingly a nod to a May 2024 South Park episode that created a fictional weight loss drug named after the singer.
