The Umbrella singer launched Fenty Beauty in 2017 and has expanded her business to skincare, clothing, lingerie, and most recently, haircare.

The singer, actress, and businesswoman has collaborated and modeled for Armani, River Island, Dior, LVMH, and other established brands in the fashion business.

A look at RiRi's brand collaborations over time shows that she has been able to leave a significant mark in the fashion industry.
2011: Armani
In 2011, Riri collaborated with Armani to launch her first fashion line. The video for the campaign featured the singer dressing in the brand's clothes for a short ad. The We Found Love singer launched a collection featuring jeans, t-shirts, and underwear for the Italian fashion house.
In an interview with Glamour magazine in 2011, Riri said that the jeans were her favorite product from the collection. She described that they have "a slightly rocky feel, fabulously sexy with a strong, masculine edge".
2013: River Island
With British brand River Island, RiRi had the "creative freedom" to create statement pieces, per Harper's Bazaar. The singer released three collections with the brand inspired by streetwear styles and '90s hip-hop fashion.
2014: Puma
RiRi was announced as the creative director for Puma in 2014 and later launched her Fenty x Puma line in 2016. Amongst her initial creations was the Creeper, a platform-soled variation of Puma’s iconic Suede sneaker. The shoe sold almost immediately and was also named shoe of the year by Footwear News in 2016.
2015: Dior
RiRi made history in 2015 when she became the first black woman to become the brand ambassador for Dior. She appeared in the house's Secret Garden IV collection and also launched an official eyewear collection. It was also the first time an ambassador was given the opportunity to release a product with the brand.
2018-2019: Fenty x LVMH
Rihanna launched Fenty Beauty under the umbrella of luxury conglomerate Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessey (LVMH) in 2017 which owns brands like Louis Vuitton, Dior, and Fendi. RiRi subsequently launched the Savage x Fenty lingerie range and promoted body positivity and inclusivity.
In 2019, RiRi became the first woman of color to launch her fashion house under LVMH. Although it was announced two years later that the fashion line was paused, LVMH has continued to support Fenty Beauty and skin care.
2024: Dior Beauty
Shortly after the launch of Fenty Hair on June 12, 2024, RiRi secured a new deal with Dior. The Lift Me Up singer was announced as the new face of Dior’s classic J’Adore fragrance on June 18. Dior took to Instagram to share the news and RiRi told Women's Wear Daily on June 18:
“I am especially looking forward to joining this adventure and contributing to it through my world, my story, my roots, as well as my creativity and my own femininity.”
Rihanna also has collaborated with other brands in the last decade such as Stance (2015), Spanish designer Manolo Blahnik (2016), and Chopard (2017) in the past decade. From clothes to high-end footwear, and statement jewellery, RiRi has diversified her talent in fashion and established herself as a go-to face for many brands.
