According to a WAFB report, YoungBoy Never Broke Again (NBA) is all set to enter a guilty plea for his 2020 federal weapons case. The outlet reported on Saturday, August 17, that the rapper's defense attorney, Drew Findling, had already filed the necessary paperwork on behalf of YoungBoy earlier last week.

The rapper was charged with possession of firearms by a convicted felon back in 2020. He and a few others allegedly waved firearms on the set of a Baton Rouge music video shoot, with the rapper also allegedly having a gun. Furthermore, the rapper was arrested in April 2024 for an alleged Utah prescription fraud ring.

WAFB reported on Saturday that Kentrell Gaulden, professionally known as NBA YoungBoy, was ready to plead guilty to his federal weapons case stemming from his September 2020 arrest. The rapper's defense attorney, Drew Findling, reportedly filed the paperwork for his guilty plea earlier last week.

Gaulden will reportedly plead guilty to one count of possession of firearms by a convicted felon. The rapper is also trying to get his case transferred from Baton Rouge to Utah as he has many criminal charges in both Cache County and Weber County in Utah.

In September 2020, NBA YoungBoy and over a dozen others were found to have been waving around firearms during a music video shoot at Chocktaw Drive, Baton Rouge. Several guns were found on the scene, and law enforcement alleged that the rapper had a 9 mm handgun and a .45-caliber Glock.

The rapper is not allowed to possess firearms due to his alleged involvement in a 2016 shootout and his aggravated assault with a firearm conviction in 2017. A second charge was also tied to the rapper concerning the case for possessing a firearm that wasn't registered in the National Firearms Registration and Transfer Record. However, this charge was dismissed in March.

However, this is not all when it comes to NBA YoungBoy's legal troubles. After being under house arrest at his Salt Lake City mansion in Utah for over two years for his federal gun charges and awaiting trial, the rapper was arrested yet again on Tuesday, April 16, 2024.

NBA YoungBoy was arrested for his involvement in an alleged Utah prescription fraud ring for which he faced a plethora of charges. The rapper allegedly posed as a medical professional and contacted pharmacies to request prescription drugs using the identities of unsuspecting victims. He also allegedly had his associates collect these prescriptions from neighboring pharmacies.

According to KUTV, the rapper was charged with 63 counts from Cache County. The charges against him included 20 counts of identity fraud, forgery, and obtaining or attempting to obtain a prescription under false pretenses. He was also charged with a single count of possession of other controlled substances, a pattern of unlawful activity, and possession of a dangerous weapon by a restricted person.

Apart from the Cache County charges, Weber County authorities also filed separate charges against him. This included yet another possession of a firearm by a restricted person charge and multiple counts of fraudulently obtaining a prescription.

Two months before YoungBoy was arrested in April, prosecutors alleged that the rapper was using unknown drugs that violated the terms of his house arrest. Court documents stated that the rapper told his supervising officers he would not stop and remained "non-compliant."

NBA YoungBoy's court hearing for his Weber County charges will go ahead this month on August 29, while his Cache County court hearing is all set to take place next month on September 23. Apart from fines and house arrest conditions, a conviction on the prescription ring case will land the rapper with a 10-year prison sentence.
