Those who have been following Ariana Grande for a long time are familiar with Alexa Luria, who happens to be the singer's childhood friend. According to an Instagram post shared by Luria in 2017, the two became friends in a P.E. class at school back in 2001, and have stayed close ever since.

Despite being friends for many years, Ariana Grande and Alexa Luria apparently had a falling out in 2020, with the Side to Side singer unfollowing her on Instagram in January.

According to J-14, upon being asked about it by a fan on X (formerly Twitter), Grande responded with a since-deleted tweet, saying:

"sometimes people outgrow each other no matter how much they love one another or how much history is there. hopefully it's temporary. <3"

The singer-songwriter also asked her fans not to send anything negative to Luria, in her tweet. Alexa who was still following Ari in January 2020, no longer follows the singer as of 2024. Luria is an American food blogger with over 89k followers on Instagram, and an IIN Certified Health Coach, according to her bio.

Ariana Grande's fandom wiki reports that Luria also played an extra in the One Thousand Berry Balls episode of Nickelodeon's Victorious. Ari also took her as a date in the 2013 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards. In 2014, the friends took a vacation together in Japan.

Luria was also present in the studio with Ari as she recorded her sophomore album, My Everything. The blogger also joined Grande in Paris while she was on The Honeymoon Tour in 2015.

Alexa also featured in a number of Grande's music videos, one of which is 7 Rings, which came out in 2019. She was the recipient of one of the six engagement rings that the song was inspired by.

Other Ariana Grande songs that Alexa was featured in include Break Free and Thank U, Next. In the latter, Grande enacts Regina of the Mean Girls' inspired Plastics, with Luria playing Karen, Elizabeth Gillies playing Cady, and Courtney Chipolone playing Gretchen.

Alexa Luria was one of the five friends of Ariana Grande who featured in her 7 Rings' music video. The other four include Tayla Parx, Njomza, Victoria Monet, and Courtney Chipolone. Kaydence, who was the recipient of the sixth ring that Ari bought at Tiffany's, wasn't a part of the video.

Tayla, a successful actress and singer-songwriter, is popular for playing Little Inez in Hairspray, and has also appeared in other shows, such as Gilmore Girls, Everybody Hates Chris, and True Jackson VP. Having co-written several of Grande's songs, Tayla also joined her as she performed Thank U, Next on the Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Njomza is the Chicago-born singer-songwriter who encouraged Ariana Grande to write 7 Rings, according to Cosmopolitan. The singer had also collaborated with Grande's late ex - Mac Miller - in the past, with her first song released on his label.

Victoria Monét, who has been friends with Grande since 2011, was one of the recipients of her famous rings as well. Besides featuring in 7 Rings, Monét also appeared in Ari's 2019 Thank U, Next, as well as its live performance on Ellen's show. That year, the two singers collaborated on Monopoly.

Much like Luria, Courtney Chipolone is one of Grande's older friends, with their friendship dating back to her Boca Raton days. The Bang Bang singer also got a tattoo for Chipolone - Court - on her knee in June 2018.

Kaydence is the newest member of Ari's friend circle and the first time the two worked together was for Grande's fourth studio album, Sweetener, as reported by Elle. The two hit it off from there, eventually becoming close friends.
