Liam Payne, who was previously a member of One Direction, recently died after falling from the third floor of a hotel room. The incident happened on October 16, 2024, at the Casa Sur Palermo Hotel, which is located in Buenos Aires.

His body was found in the hotel's courtyard after the police officers arrived at the spot. The case is currently under investigation.

According to Sky News, Liam Payne's girlfriend Kate Cassidy returned to the US a few days ago and the former posted a few clips through his Snapchat story, where he was spotted alongside Cassidy. One of them featured the duo posing in front of a garden and Payne wrote along with the photo:

"Happy I got some time away."

On the other hand, Cassidy also shared a TikTok video on Tuesday, October 15, where she recorded her return journey. Kate said in the clip:

"I was so ready to leave. Honestly, love South America but I hate staying in one place for too long and we were supposed to be there for like five days. It turned into two weeks and I was just like 'I need to go home.'"

A boarding pass from the clip revealed that her flight was on October 12 and Kate seemingly disclosed that she and Liam Payne were in Argentina for around two weeks. Meanwhile, Cassidy has yet to publicly address the tragedy.

Liam Payne reportedly came to Buenos Aires to attend the concert of Niall Horan, who was also a member of One Direction. Following Payne's death, Marca magazine obtained a few photos from his hotel room, which was in bad condition.

It featured a shattered TV screen and the suite's desk had various items such as matches and a lighter alongside a powder, which was reportedly believed to be cocaine. The bathtub had remains of candles and aluminum foil.

The local media reported that Liam Payne was behaving "erratically" in the hotel lobby and reportedly smashed his laptop before being "carried back to his room."

The Associated Press also acquired a 911 call where the hotel manager asked for help, claiming that a guest was under the influence of drugs and alcohol.

According to The Mirror, the manager called for another time and a hotel employee, identified as a person named Esteban, said a few moments later:

"The room has a balcony and we are afraid he might do something. Just send an ambulance, only an ambulance."

Esteban additionally stated that the person in the hotel room had been at the place for around two or three days and a female responder on the other side said that they would inform the SAME medical response service immediately. The responder also stated that she would send the police for further assistance.
