Ice Spice is one of the most prominent rising hip-hop stars and has received numerous accolades, including four Grammy nominations. As per Celebrity Net Worth, the Bronx-born rapper has accumulated an estimated net worth of over $8 million as of August 2024.

The 24-year-old rapper, whose real name is Isis Naija Gaston, has been on an exponential rise ever since the release of her 2022 single, Munch (Feelin' U). The track was released on August 10, 2022, and was part of her debut EP project, Like..?, released on January 20, 2023.

The catchy drill track peaked at #5 on Billboard's US Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles chart in July 2023. It was in the Top 50 list on Billboard's US Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and US Rhythmic charts, ranked #34 and #27, respectively.

The single contributed greatly towards Ice Spice's net worth by selling over five hundred thousand copies. The rapper's EP, Like..?, sold over 500,000 album equivalent units by October 2023. It was a major success and debuted at #15 on the US Billboard 200 chart and #5 on the US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.

Appearing for a Billboard interview on the head of the EP's success in May 2023, Ice Spice shared how her fans began comparing her to Princess Diana.

"I saw all of my supporters being like, 'She's the People’s Princess! She's Princess Diana!' At first, I was confused. I was like, 'Um, Princess Diana? Out of everybody?' But [then] I was like, ‘F--k it, she's iconic'," the rapper stated.

Ice Spice's music has earned her praise from Drake and Taylor Swift

Ice Spice kicked off her music career in March 2021 with Bully Freestyle. The rapper rose to fame a year later, in 2022, after trending on TikTok with a Buss It video. Cashing into the fame, Isis has released one extended play (EP) project, one studio album, and at least 18 singles.

The rapper's catchy and bold music has earned her praise from major industry names, including Drake and Taylor Swift. Drake first appreciated Ice's music style on the head of Munch's release in 2022. The pair were seen together at OVO Fest in Canada in the same year, leading to dating rumors.

Ice shared an instance of her interaction with Drake while appearing at a TikTok interview with Spotify in early 2023. The rapper said that it was right after she landed in Los Angeles for her GeniusOpen Mic for Munch, that Drake praised the song and her freestyling.

"I had just landed in L.A. for my GeniusOpen Mic for 'Munch,' and he (Drake) was actually like, 'Yo, 'Munch' is hard and your 'On the Radar' freestyle is hard.' And I was like, 'D*mn, that's crazy because I'm really in LA about to shoot the Open Mic," Ice Spice said

Taylor Swift praised Ice in July 2024 for the way she is navigating her fame through music. During an interview with the Independent, Swift said that she loved meeting "a new artist who takes a keen interest" in music, the music industry, and how it works.

Swift added that she was excited to see Ice Spice handle the different aspects of her music career.

“I’ve seen how our industry tries to convince artists that they’re better off just being creative and making music and letting the labels and the management do the rest. Seeing Ice lean into the strategic, financial, and business aspects of her career is really exciting for me,” Taylor noted.

Ice Spice reached a major career milestone in July 2024 when she released her debut album, Y2K, on July 26, 2024. The drill and hip-hop project has ten songs, including Think U the Sh*t, Gimmie a Light, Phat B*tt, and Did It First, among others. The album also features collaborations from Central Cee, Gunna, and Travis Scott.

Y2K charted at #18 on the Billboard 200 chart and sold over 28,000 album-equivalent units in the first week. The album fell to #56 on the chart by the second week.
