Snoop Dogg has experienced a flourishing rap career. The Long-Beach-born singer has worked in various movies, made investments, and pioneered several businesses. The Young, Wild,, & Free singer has also made many charitable contributions to society.

He has collaborated with the Make a Wish Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, Mothers Against Police Brutality, and others. He has hosted charity events, such as the Athletes vs. Cancer celebrity flag football game in August 2018. In an interview with Variety in 2022, Seth Rogan revealed that Snoop Dogg auctioned his "blunt for $10,000" for Alzheimer's care and research.

A look at Snoop Dogg's charity work and social cause endeavors

Snoop Dogg has acknowledged his efforts propelling him into stardom. In his Walk Of Fame Speech in 2019, he gave his "I want to thank me" speech that went viral. The Drop It Like It's Hot singer has also recognized the importance of giving back to his community and society.

In a conversation with Roxanne Shante on Rock The Bells Radio, Snoop revealed that his charitable work is not for publicity but rather done out of love. He said,

"It's not always about, you know broadcasting or putting a camera on the things you do."

He added,

"If your heart is in the right place, you just do it to being doing it."

A brief look at Snoop Dogg's initiatives shows that he has contributed to various causes.


1) Youth Sports

One of Snoop's biggest contributions to youth has been the establishment of the Snoop Youth Football Club in 2005. This non-profit organization aims to empower youth from inner circles who want to play basketball. Dogg has also been spotted coaching the kids and has supported thousands of children. Snoop Dogg also started Snoop Youth Super Stars for differently abled children, including children with autism.

Snoop has also collaborated with NBA Champion Stephen Curry to refurbish and renovate 20 safe places to play by 2025.


2) Anti-Violence efforts

Snoop grew up witnessing gun violence and has previously revealed that he was "robbed" and "shot" at. In 2015, Dogg became a part of an anti-violence campaign called #I’mUnloading, UnloadingYour401k, per the Things. In a video for the campaign on YouTube, Snoop is seen saying,

“How I’ve been affected by gun violence over the years is through deaths of friends and family members and associates. I’m unloading for my loved ones that I lost. Unload and join the movement.”

In 2018, Snoop donated $25,000 to Mothers Against Police Brutality, which helps ill-treated individuals.


3) Turkeys for Thanksgiving

Snoop has his own Thanksgiving tradition, including giving away free turkeys to the residents of Inglewood, California. The rapper has participated in the initiative since 2014. According to the Icon, Snoop Dogg gave out 1000 turkeys and celebrated Thanksgiving with the residents.
