Gooba hitmaker 6ix9ine, also known as Tekashi69, has dropped a diss track against his ex-girlfriend and fellow artist, Yailin La Mas Viral. On Wednesday, September 4, the rapper released a track titled Respuesta aimed at his former girlfriend. The song, entirely performed in Spanish, featured Cuban singer Lenier.

The music video, a stark departure from the rapper's usual style, included past clips of him spending time with Yailin. Tekashi69 and Dominican singer Yailin La Mas Viral dated throughout 2023 before calling it quits in August of this year.

6ix9ine released 'Respuesta' aimed at Yailin La Mas Viral

Tekashi69 and Yailin La Mas Viral ended their relationship in August of this year. Yailin confirmed the end of their relationship by posting on her Instagram that she was now a "free, hardworking, and single woman".

According to Cuban digital media outlet Cibercuba, after his breakup with Yailin, Tekashi69 took to Instagram to flaunt a new short, blonde hairstyle as opposed to his previous colorful hairdo. As per the outlet, the rapper also shared pictures of himself spending time with other women.

He directly addressed his breakup on Wednesday with the track Respuesta which was accompanied by a music video. The video showed the rapper smoking a cigar and holding a glass filled with liquor while dressed in all black. The aesthetic of this music video was vastly different from 6ix9ine's usual colorful, outlandish, and wild themes.

Instead of his signature loud vocals, this time around 6ix9ine sang in comparatively mellow vocals as he reminisced about his broken relationship and what could've been.

The 28-year-old even incorporated various clips of him spending time with Yailin La Mas Viral. One such clip shows him spending time with Yailin's son with rapper Anuel AA. The music video, released only on Wednesday, immediately went viral with over 2.7 million views on YouTube at the time of writing this article.

Tekashi69 and Yailin La Mas Viral's relationship was filled with a fair share of controversies. Back in January 2022, Yailin announced her relationship with Puerto Rican rapper and singer Anuel AA official via an Instagram post. The couple got married in June of the same year and announced that they were expecting a kid five months later.

However, despite their relationship's brisk pace, in an Instagram live session in February of the following year, Anuel AA confirmed that the two were no longer together. In June of the same year, Yailin even released a diss track aimed at her former husband titled Narcisista.

In the very same month, 6ix9ine entered the scene and showered Yailin with lavish gifts including luxury purses and watches. The clips of the duo spending time together were shared on social media and used as promotion for their June 16 single Pa’ Ti.

In July, Tekashi69 shared videos of him showering his former girlfriend with a black Rolls-Royce. In the same month, Anuel posted a picture of his and Yailin’s daughter, Cattleya on social media, which Tekashi69 did not receive well. The rapper commented on Anuel's post:

"It’s not my place. May God forgive me for this comment but you went overboard posting that photo knowing Yailin was not ready. She’s your daughter, it’s your place, but you’ve never done anything for her in three months. Pampers, the rent, milk, clothes… you can say you’re real but I know you and you’re a rat."

This triggered a social media beef between the two artists with both throwing allegations back and forth. Even more controversy struck in December 2023, when Yailin was arrested in Florida for allegedly assaulting 6ix9ine. She was charged with obstruction of justice, criminal damage to property worth $1,000 or more, felony battery, and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

In January 2024, 6ix9ine was jailed in the Dominican Republic, reportedly due to a domestic violence complaint issued by Yailin La Mas's mother.

So far Yailin La Mas Viral is yet to respond to 6ix9ine's latest diss track.
