Back in December 2014 Ackquille Jean Pollard, professionally known as Bobby Shmurda along with 14 members of his GS9 crew including rapper Chad Marshall professionally known as Rowdy Rebel were arrested following a yearlong investigation into GS9. The arrest was based on the group's alleged involvement in narcotics trafficking and shootings.

Shmurda alongside Rowdy Rebel and another co-defendant named Nicholas McCoy pled guilty to charges of 2nd-degree criminal weapons possession and 4th-degree conspiracy to criminally possess a weapon. "Why in hell would you put your hands on a female bro?": Bobby Shmurda

Earlier this week CNN obtained footage of hip-hop mogul Diddy assaulting his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura. The footage which dated back to March 2016 saw Diddy wrapped in a towel running after Cassie in a Los Angeles hotel hallway. When Cassie was waiting for the elevator Diddy hit her from behind and pulled her to the ground before viciously kicking her over and over again before dragging her away.

Last Friday, Bobby Shmurda took to Instagram to release a video, which seemed like the rapper's response to Diddy's controversial footage. In the caption to his post, Shmurda asserted that the violence had to stop. The rapper wrote:

"Ain’t no female worth yah freedom and ladies it should be no amount of money worth your respect 🫡 I seen one of my fav celebrities do some straight dayroom s**t smh ( Prevention Before Cure ) #PBC young bulls These been day room a real one won’t ever you don’t see us in those positions smh leave the 🐱before you beat the 🐱 #shmurdaphilosophy."

In the video Shmurda stated that enough was enough and that people had to stop "beating the b***hes". Shmurda noted first of all that the people he was talking about were celebrities and asked why they let women make them go crazy. Shmurda asserted:

"Why in hell would you put your hands on a female bro? Especially when you're a multi-millionaire. F**k even if you're a multi-millionaire, point blank period, no female should make you go crazy bro."

Shmurda talked about how he was in jail for 6 years and still had his ex-girlfriend from 2015 chasing after him. He also talked about how the young relatives of the people in stature look up to them only to see footage of them assaulting a woman on camera. He added:

"Y'all females stop asking these n****s for money because when you ask these n****s for money, they feel entitled."

Shmurda reiterated how such actions could have repercussions when young people who look up to these tycoons view the footage and follow in their footsteps.

On Sunday, May 19, Diddy issued an apology video on Instagram and Facebook. The hip-hop mogul stated in the video that he was "truly sorry" for his "inexcusable" act. Sean Combs claimed that he too was disgusted by what he did, now and even back then.
