Lara Trump debuted in the entertainment industry as a television producer. The 41-year-old was the producer and host of Trump Productions’ Real News Update, a weekly webcast to support the Presidency of Donald Trump and his 2020 presidential campaign that lasted from July 30, 2017, to March 15, 2020.

She also worked as a producer for Inside Edition, a newsmagazine television program distributed by CBS Media Ventures.

In September 2023, Lara Trump, wife of Eric Trump (second son of Donald Trump), released a cover of Tom Petty’s hit song, I Won’t Back Down. This rendition debuted at number 10 on Billboard’s Digital Song Sales chart and number 6 on Billboard’s Country Digital Song Sales chart. The song explores themes of resilience and strength with lyrics like:

"Well, I won't back down/ No, I won't back down/ You can stand me up at the gates of Hell/ But I won't back down/ No, I'll stand my ground/ Won't be turned around/ And I'll keep this world from draggin' me down/ Gonna stand my ground/ And I won't back down."

Trump started releasing her own songs in 2024 with Anything is Possible, a country pop ballad with positive lyrics that offer encouragement in trying times, such as,

“Talking to that little girl riding on the Pegasus/ Tell her everything’s going to be all right/ Even when it’s getting hard in this hurricane life/ You still gotta spread your wings and fly.”

Her latest single, Hero, was released in August 2024 and accompanied by a music video. The song's lyrics pay homage to first responders and firefighters, praising them for their heroic contributions to American society. Hero is co-written by Lara Trump and singer-songwriter Madeline Jaymes.

The music video sees the artists on a fire escape as they belt out the emotive lyrics:

“You’re going through the fire, and the flames getting higher/ You’re my hero/ You’re my hero/ You’re climbing up the ladder and the screams getting louder/ You’re my hero/ You’re my hero.”

The music video also shows footage of firefighters rescuing people from burning buildings, with one shot depicting a lifeless victim getting dragged out of a room.

Hero's lyrics continue the praise for the heroic firefighters:

“Without your bravery, we’re out of luck/ No, this can’t be denied/ You gotta be special/ It takes a lot to put you last and everybody first/ No, this can’t be for likes/ With your heart, they can make gold.”

Lara Trump also hinted at new music with French Montana by sharing a video with the Unforgettable crooner in the studio on her Instagram handle in July 2024.
