"The way you feel about your body changes every single day"- Lizzo comments on body neutrality

Lizzo launched her shapewear brand YITTY in 2022, but she keeps endorsing the same and talked about getting into the brand's shapewear-influenced swimwear line in an interview with the New York Times in March 2024.

Commenting on the evolving idea of body positivity, the 2 Be Loved singer told the publication that the idea of body positivity has moved away from the "antiquated mainstream conception" and that it has evolved into body neutrality. She continued:

“I’m not going to lie and say I love my body every day. The bottom line is, the way you feel about your body changes every single day.”

The singer mentioned that there are some days when she adores her body and others when she doesn't feel completely positive. Moreover, since the singer wasn't touring at the time she stated that she was taking the time every day to put some love into her body, adding that there is never a day that she regrets taking a walk or doing pilates.

The Tempo singer also talked about her diet and told the publication that she has been methodical and "losing weight very slowly".

In March 2024, the singer took to Instagram with a post stating "I quit" and mentioning that she was starting to feel like the world didn't want her in it and that she was fed up with being targeted for how she looked online.

However, she clarified her statement in a video in April 2024, telling fans that when she said she quit, she meant quitting on giving attention to any negative energy.
