Ariana Grande, known for breaking various world records due to her musical prowess, has invested a significant portion of her earnings into real estate. The singer-songwriter, who has lived in luxurious homes all her life, has a history of purchasing and selling several properties throughout her career.
Currently, the 30-year-old is reportedly living with her boyfriend, Ethan Slater, as reported by the US magazine. The two Wicked co-stars are living together in New York City, and Slater has informed his ex-wife of ten years, Lilly Jay, of this arrangement.
According to the magazine, news of their relationship first surfaced in July 2023, while they were still filming the upcoming musical fantasy film.
Here's a timeline of all the homes Ariana Grande has lived and invested in so far.
Ariana Grande's childhood home was a vintage estate in Florida
Considering that Grande's mother, Joan Grande, is the CEO of a communication manufacturing company, it is understandable that the singer-songwriter grew up in luxury. Fancy Pants Home reports that Ariana's first home was a vintage estate in Boca Raton, Florida, purchased by her parents for $714,200 before her birth.
The Bang Bang singer lived in the house until she was six, after which her family moved to a larger waterfront property in Florida. This 7,590 sq. ft. home featured five bedrooms, a pool, a spa, and a music studio. According to Fancy Pants Home, Grande stayed in the house for four years before moving to New York with her mother. It was in New York that she performed in her first Broadway musical, 13, and was later cast in Nickelodeon's Victorious, for which she had to move to LA.
According to Architectural Digest, when Ariana Grande first moved to LA, her mother rented a French manor-style home in LA's Toluca Lake neighborhood. The 10,000 sq. ft. property had coffered ceilings, a home theater, a gym, a chef's kitchen with granite island, a wine cellar in the formal dining room, and seven fireplaces with hand-carved mantels.
After their stay in Toluca Lake, Grande and her mother moved to Hancock Park, where they rented a Tudor-style home previously owned by film director Francis Coppola. The singer-songwriter must have liked the house enough to install a basement recording studio in it. Architectural Digest reported that the home was on the rental market for $18,900 a month in 2012.
In 2015, Ariana Grande moved to her next abode in the Benedict Canyon area of LA. The 6,000 sq. ft. Mediterranean-inspired mansion she rented was on the rental market for $40,000 a month, according to the media outlet.
The mansion became her last rental, as Grande purchased her first home in 2018 - a luxurious Chelsea apartment. The Side to Side singer bought the 4,000 sq. ft. apartment for $16 million and shared it with her then-fiance, Pete Davidson.
In a 2018 GQ interview, Davidson mentioned how his job was to "keep the refrigerator stocked" in the apartment, further saying about Grande:
"She's really sweet. She's like, 'This is our house,' and I'm like, 'You're very nice for saying that. Thank you for letting me stay here'."
After Ariana's relationship with Pete ended five months later, the singer sold the apartment for $13.5 million, incurring a slight loss, as reported by People.
Ariana Grande moved to Hollywood Hills in 2020
Two years later, Ariana Grande decided to set her roots in Hollywood Hills, where she purchased a three-story mansion for $13.7 million, according to Architectural Digest. The home was decorated in a minimalistic fashion, with floor-to-ceiling windows, an expansive back deck, and an infinity pool.
Despite the appealing location and amenities of the mansion, the Love Me Harder singer didn't stay in the mansion for long. According to the media outlet, she ended up selling it for $14 million in late 2021.
Soon after selling the mansion, Ariana Grande purchased another property in Montecito for $6.8 million. Called the Porter House, the mansion previously belonged to Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi. It featured two barns that were dismantled and moved from Surrey, England. Architectural Digest reported that Grande married her now ex-husband, Dalton Gomez, in this house in late 2021.
However, in 2022, Grande flipped the home back onto the market, selling it for $9.1 million at a profit.
Ariana Grande made another purchase in 2021, this time a cozy 1,590 sq. ft. cottage situated in the coveted Bird Streets neighborhood of Hollywood Hills, built in 1946. According to Robb Report, the couple allegedly planned to raze the structure, but after their divorce, the singer-songwriter sold it to Bad Bunny for $8.3 million in early 2024.
In 2022, Ariana Grande purchased her third home in Hollywood Hills. She paid $4.9 million for the modest midcentury-style home with two bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms, previously owned by Cameron Diaz. Architectural Digest reported that Diaz had initially planned to tear the house down and rebuild a larger one, but it never came to fruition. Whether or not Grande, who hasn't lived in the house so far, has the same plan for it remains to be seen.
