Rapper Baby Kia, also known as Khari Jahmill Hoard, has been recently arrested for his alleged involvement in a shooting incident alongside another person named Dedrick Henderson. Charges of disrupting and interfering with the operation of public schools have reportedly been imposed on Baby Kia, who is 19 years old.
The case happened at the parking lot of the Douglas County High School on October 11, 2024, when the students were busy with a pep rally. An investigation into the matter was immediately launched by the police department. While Kia was taken into custody on October 21, Henderson was arrested around five days later on Saturday, October 26.
Kia is a rising star in the world of rapping. He gained recognition for his singles, such as Special ED, Get Jiggy, Life Lesson, and Let's Play a Game. He has also accumulated a huge fanbase on social media and streaming platforms for his work in the music industry.
According to Douglas County Sentinel, Magistrate Judge Barbara Caldwell has ordered a $2,000 bond for him, which comes under certain conditions, including that he has to participate in a Youth Against Violence course. He was also restricted from performing at any school in Douglas County.
A mugshot of Kia has also gone viral on social media platforms where he appears in a black outfit. Further details on where he is being held right now are currently awaited.
Baby Kia reportedly told the magistrate in a video from prison that Lil Bankhead, a DJ for the radio station V-103, invited him to the school. He stated that there was a brawl happening inside when he arrived and added:
"I was doing some yelling. I tried to apologize."
The school rally was attended by various artists and Henderson reportedly fired a few shots in the air from his car while the fight was happening inside. However, no one suffered any injuries in the incident.

Khari Jahmill Hoard has been active in the rapping industry for around a year. He was born in West Atlanta and has two EPs in his credits, which include Kia World and Glahh Glahh Boom.
According to his biography on All Music, his songs mostly feature violent lyrics that are usually influenced by horror films. His singles have always led to negative reactions from critics, where most of them expressed concern about the impact that it could leave on the society.

The clip, featuring the track, started trending in a short period, following which several other videos were made with the same. The official music video on YouTube has received around 5 million views until now.
Jahmill Hoard's debut album Hell Can't Save You was released in March 2024. He even announced a concert in New Orleans through his Instagram page a week ago, which was supposed to be held on October 26, 2024.
Baby Kia released another album, I Pray You Die, on October 16, and it features 13 songs in the soundtrack. Kia is active on Instagram with more than 400,000 followers, and they mostly feature him posing at different locations alongside glimpses of his performances.
